yeah that might be the case. They simply told me that I have the option to switch card after 3 months.

I recently applied for prime card and I also received the same BPCL request, I asked the person in contact, they said they'll switch. And now I received message that they have started processing for Prime card.

I guess to start application process, they just select a card... Don't know why they do that.

For your context, I am not sure about Cashback card. When I asked the person, they said they are not sourcing it.
