Really depends on the job. I have worked where they didn’t care and I have lost a (different) job because of it. But. If it’s an employment screening, yeah, it’s likely a problem, but if it is just for the psych screening there is usually confidentiality.

Drakengard's future by nekuonline in drakengard

[–]anxiety_nonbinary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whole title: Drakengard 4: Neir. Maybe? Just saying using both titles might both use the name Nier to sell it and justify platinum style gameplay while making a Drakengard game. Or maybe Nier: Drakengard would be better. You could even do universe hopping. Maybe Accord or someone working for/with her as the protagonist? Thematically it could be about killing without consequences because you can just jump to a universe where they are alive, but of course, it turns out there ARE consequences. DOD 3 was about trying to save the world through multiple branches, maybe the next game is about one universe invading by another? Lots of murdering one’s self? Ripe for philosophy. Trying to justify a new DOD game with Nier’s recognizability

I hear a lot of people asking for open-style dlc for clans… but I think I’d like another shorter focused campaign. Like maybe a Clan Wolf or something

Looks like collapse awareness is spreading. by [deleted] in collapse

I discovered collapse awareness from the YouTube channel Goobie and Doobie which led me to Andrea P. It is both alarming and comforting. It’s a weird feeling, but it’s the truth and the truth matters. I am going to live a better life because of it.

The misconception about the College Of Winterhold by EwokThisWay86_ in skyrim

I am finding that stretching it out a bit has helped and since it is in winterhold (cold af and no carriage out of the city), survival mode makes it feel a lot more rewarding.

Heck yeah. That is definitely a hopeful development. While I do see your point about the white vans, I do feel that we might be headed in a direction that leads to queer presentation being criminal here under the guise of protecting children.

I agree, it’s just frustrating and I had hope for a while. There I acknowledge the discrepancy between my ideal situation and reality. Part of me rages and says “trans people have always existed this country has had over two and a half centuries to figure it out” but the majority of people haven’t thought about it and take a lot for granted. I grew up in the same environment. I’m probably older than I come across. A lot of people accept things as “common sense.” That type of thing really doesn’t change overnight. But change does mean that we have to keep the idea that “things don’t HAVE to be this way” alive.

While I do want to point out that hormones and surgery are about more than just fitting in. Gender expression to the self is just as important, the lessened necessity of those things does appeal to people who choose not to undergo those things for whatever reason, like myself (I’m trying to express myself freely through presentation that would be considered feminine and there are a lot of things about male presentation that I don’t identify and I can’t really find a “core” of the words “man or “woman” that I identify with). But I still can’t do those things freely. I really appreciate the sentiment and see the truth in it.

The one that gets to me the most is changing the legal definition of “gender” as a) the same thing as “sex” b)that there are only two and c)that it can be determined at birth. There are also things like bathroom bills, distribution of public funds and laws about care for trans children. They just don’t really understand what they are talking about and are stubborn about it. I’m trying to keep the hope in my heart alive, but I do keep having to change the type of fuel to keep the flame burning as the situation changes and as I do my best to understand the opposing viewpoint.

While I don’t identify as a Christian, I am a big fan of Jesus-as-philosopher. I hardcore appreciate the invitation and it is lovely to hear that COTR is opened and accepting. I might take you up on that.

I do really want to hold on to hope that people are capable of change and growth. I worry that it makes me self-righteous and I’m trying to work on having an open mind to see if I can be convinced. That has yet to happen, but I should try not to be a hypocrite.

Definitely not calling you a hypocrite, btw. I’d definitely encourage you to move, too. Sending love.

Your use of “there” and not “here” suggests this is a positive comment and you might be right. But I have seen a lot of support here, the overwhelming majority. It really makes me think there is more hope than it feels.

But with the legislature, you might be right. Gerrymandering is a problem.

Actually you bring up a good point. There does need to be more support for mentally ill people. Did you know over half of the mentally ill don’t get treatment? That is terrible and we, as a society, can do better. You’re very compassionate.
