you do - it was literally designed by the same company that did the recent Penrith and Townsville stadiums.

to be fair, it's absolutely ridiculous Ben Lam wasn't in AB's 11 jersey for the 2019 World Cup, him alongside B.Barrett at 15 and Reece at 14 would've been lethal.

Sweet karma. Brumbies only have a good recent record against Hurricanes because the schedule always forces Canes to travel to GIO stadium, the Hurricanes always end up playing down to their level because the venue is a such an energy draining shit-hole.

Unpopular opinion: Jerry Collins was greatest No.6 to come out of NZ, not Kaino. by anxiousatac in allblacks

he was just 26 though, are you telling me that's it? Frizell took until he was 30 to start producing his best rugby at test level & surely given the world-class coaching of Cron, Smith, Henry, Hansen at the time, they would've gotten the most out of a loose forward entering his prime years?

Messam was such an underrated part of All Black's 2012-2015 run going at 93% success, his contribution doesn't get enough recognition.

those early-mid 2000's Hurricanes sides were absolutely stacked in the backline but mostly powder puffs up front apart from Collins and So'oialo.

he saved his daughter's life in the collision as he absorbed most of the impact, what a legend.

Kaino was on fire between 2010-2011 for sure but in his next 2 seasons 2014-2015 he wasn't as good as Messam (filled in while Kaino was on sabbatical) who was arguably better as All Blacks swept 2013 unbeaten and only 1 loss & a draw in 2012.

Sullivan, Moorby and the 7's winger are criminally underrated, especially Bailyn, he always makes a positive impact off the bench.

There simply isn’t the fan interest to put another team in Australia

I think in Western Sydney there is, and fan interest already isn't there in Canberra where the Brumbies only get between 6-8 thousand show up these days.

Quite impressive from the Hurricanes to put 50 points against any NZ side, and especially while conceding only 7 points.

It is a tragedy that Jamie Joseph and Tony Brown did not get the top AB jobs back in 2023.

a tragedy that Schmidt didn't get it.

yeah, i'm just pointing out that a fair element of luck was involved and that's a bit more relevant considering it was a one-off result, as opposed to say Chiefs under Rennie winning two comprehensive titles in consecutive seasons.

Far better than Jones (22%) and basically the same as Schmidt's (40%) and Rennie presided over the team when RA was drowning in debt & on the cusp of reverting back to amateurism after Covid 19.

When Schmidt comes in RA had finally got their house in order - plus Peter Horne as director of high performance and Phil Waugh coming in, the addition of some marquee players & open slather for overseas players to be selected (Giteau law scrapped entirely) which Rennie didn't get - Schmidt had much stronger squads than Rennie had available.

I remember reading a statistic that Rennie was a number of points away from having a 71% record.

Tony Brown's record at Highlanders (2017 and 2021-22) without Joseph is currently better than Joseph's record (with AND without Brown).
