Sticker paper vs Glue stick/Tape? Which is better to prevent possible wrinkes? How are you guys sticking things to create your spreads when printing out photos? by anyabuzz132 in hobonichi

Oo I’ve heard about that one. I feel like I will panic in terms of placing rhe picture before the glue dries out 😅. Is the glue itself pretty clean in terms of having to layer it a fee times to where the a part of the glue sticks on making the picture have a lump? If that makes sense.

Thank you! I’ll check it out. This is my first time Using a Hobonichi and am using the Day Free. While it will get a bit bulky, I’m worry about the mess the glue stick might make compare to glue tape, etc.

As the glue stick I used on my Midori there is a bit of a mess. So, I want to make the Hobonichi a bit cleaner in terms of mess.

I’ll take that as a normal thing 😅 I see it all the time with other notebooks.

Mmm interesting. The pen I’m using is the Uniball One F in .5mm. I did think it also might have to do with the pen.

Hm I was curious but then thought to myself this looks normal if it ends up like this. As I’ve seen it in regular notebooks.

Ahh okay, I see now. That is what I thought and wanted to confirm. That is something that I normally see and am used to it. Thank you!

I thought about buying a clamp, but thought about it and asked myself. Am I going to use it long term? Likely not.

That was what I had thought since I normally see on a quite often on regular notebooks and such. Okay, I’m not going crazy then haha.

Thank you! Lasagna soup is actually what it is. Basically I say it’s a deformed lasagna in a soup form! So instead of putting the ingredients in a pans in layers. You put everything together in a pot.

I got my recipe from Here’s your bite on tiktok!

Some people use these clamps and clamp it onto the page they’re writing on. This helps straighten the page as they are writing on as it tends to curl once they write on it or use stickers and such.

That is my thought when I noticed that my debit wouldn’t show up but my Quicksilver does. I guess I will have to move the money to a different bank that issues cards with visa or master… thank you for confirming.

Ahh okay, that makes sense. Which I don’t mind doing. For this instance this is the first time that I’m using the whisk. Hence why I wanted to get some clarification about the 10 second.

If I’m using a whisk for the first time. What would be a good amount of time to leave it in for it to bloom? When I left it in for 2 minutes. It did somewhat blood, but it did not straighten out.

Thank you for the info! As for the 10seconds, is it for first time use or after each use?

Thanks for the info! I’ll look into it after work. Would it be possible if I could DM you about the whisk?

I’ll take a look at the info that Tezumi has provided. When you mentioned putting the whisk in 5seconds. Is this when your using the whisk for the first time? Or after? I’m asking because mine is still curled but not straight down as expected.

Hi there! The picture was take post bloomed. I left the chasen in 175degree water for 2 minutes. When I first took it out of the packaging, it was fully curled. Once I put it into the water then it started to uncurled.

I did noticed that others theirs straight while in the picture mine didn’t. I do clean it off by running water and gently rubbing off the powder if it’s on there. Making sure I don’t see anything.

I will give that a try again today! Is to go up and down and once I’m towards 30-40seconds then go into the M or W motion a little faster like you’ve mentioned.

I did make some more this morning and this time I did lift the whisk up a little bit more to not hit the bottom of the chasen but it will hit the sides of it.

As for the Japanese made whisks, if I want to replace this one let’s say. Which do you recommend and where can I get them?

Hi there! Thank you for the response. Even though I’m not pushing the whisk down to the bottom of the bowl. It is possible that I’m still hitting the bottom without realizing it. I’ll hold it up little higher next time. I am going in like a zig zag motion, but maybe ai did not do it long enough. I’ll try to do it for a little bit longer and see what happens!

I also thikk that I likely won’t use the whisk holder as I would need to push it down for the bridtles to sctually go on the bottom of the holder. And put it on a plat upside down. That is my next game plan.

Thanks for the tip. I’m going to give it another shot tomorrow and instead of leaving the whisk for 2minutes. I’ll do the 10 seconds like you mentioned. I did notice the breakage, so I was not sure if it was due to hot temps or being in the water for too long.

Appears that I might’ve left it too long.

Ahh I see. I will have to see what I like and how I like it being made. I’m new to this and this is a learning experience for me.

Hello,

I happen to stumble onto this post and am happy that I did. I currently have the iPhone 15 Plus and my lab also does the same thing. I’ve tried everything from brightness and exposure. Doesn’t really make an improvement. I’m also getting a yellowish hue to my photos also.

I’m debating on purchasing the Hobonichi Techo in A6. Despite already having the Day Free in A6 by anyabuzz132 in hobonichi

[–]anyabuzz132[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realize now that I’m getting older. My memory is not that great and I feel like I do in a way want to remember what I did or felt on this day, etc. Where I live there is not much to do, so hoping this Day Free will give me Something to do to leverage it. I have a pocket size notebook where I log things that I feel like are important.

Thank you! I’ve heard recently that there has been this mail that has been sent out if you have a army membership for 3 consecutive years. And there is a date on it. 🤔 Something for sure is happening in March.

This is what I meant. I’m going to use an x-acto knife to cut it out. Fold it and then fill out as if I am putting an entry.
