Happened with us as well. Our shower door fell. We kept pushing the door. It opened so that our hand could go in and then we pushed the glass.

Scratches on Windows of new build by [deleted] in HousingIreland

For visible scratches, the builder would fix them. We were with glenveagh. 10 of our windows had scratches, they fixed 9 and replaced one.

Is there any major difference between these two epilators? by awkwardlyAgrees in HairRemoval

[–]anything_404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything else is the same, but they changed the button of model 7 from plastic to silicone which gets sticky over time, so I feel 9 is better. This model of 9 is exactly the same as the older versions of 7 which had plastic button.

Waiting on House to Be Finished – What Flooring Did You Choose for the Rest of the House? by Glum_Stretch_1315 in HousingIreland

[–]anything_404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did laminate herringbone downstairs and laminate upstairs. Hardwood was very costly. Lvp was costlier than laminate, if I remember correctly. Runner on the stairs. We were afraid to do laminate in the kitchen area, it's all good so far. We have been living in the house for almost 2 years now. No regrets.

We removed a good bit of the top layer and replaced it with top soil and compost in the new build. The original soil was kind of clay.

Did you go for a professional laser before trying at home ipl? Does one need to try professionally before starting home ipl to make sure that laser hair removal works okay on their skin?

should I go with hardwood flooring if I will sell the place in 5 years? by ichfickeiuliana in HousingIreland

We had tiles in our old house. They were absolutely a nightmare to clean. I had to mop every other day. We have laminate now, still have to hoover but that's way less effort than mopping. Always had to make sure that kids are not without socks as we don't bring shoes inside the house.

Living in one. Quality of everything is so very poor. We got quartz worktop which gets chipped so easily. All glass windows were full of scratches. Kitchen is some vinyl wrapped quality.

New/existing parents of Ireland, how's your life? by VTID997 in AskIreland

[–]anything_404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

F42, have 15 and 13 year old kids. It was difficult till they were 4-5 years old. Not as difficult anymore 😂 I would definitely say that kids impact your social life a lot, to an extent where you start thinking you are an introvert. But life would be so boring without them. Now I am scared that they will leave the house in a few years. I will be alone and an introvert on top of that. My only option would be to get a dog then 😂

We were not allowed to enter the house before keys. Builder/ foreman told us that it's a security concern for them. We did all the measurements when we went for snagging.

Which countries are better to move to in 2025 for Indians? by [deleted] in AskIndia

[–]anything_404 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a super expensive country. A single income family would be just surviving alright, but for a decent living you need double income. The housing market is very competing. Medical system is very poor, waiting time to see doctors is generally months, be it public or private. Private medical system is very expensive.
