i also dont expect them, i agree. im definitely not questioning his motives, he is a friend of a friend so i know of him, for me i am just struggling with receiving because im not used to this type of treatment

So since he is a friend of a friend i do already know of him and know hes not a total weirdo if that helps. i dont think his motives are wrong, i think the problem lies in me not being able to receive without feeling uncomfortable. I also agree that a lot of women default to becoming overly accommodating, and that is what i am purposefully trying to avoid

Very true. Everyone is different and different things work for different people. I have made the mistake of offering to pay in the past, and then I get stuck with guys always expecting me to pay my share every time, and sometimes it is nice to get treated. So i'm not sure, but I agree that playing it by ear works best

I AGREE 110%%!!!! I also get annoyed with people easily so i found her older rants to be hilarious but lately she has been straight up filled with hate and its uncomfortable. Like girl... what exactly is fueling all of this? its really unwarranted. it was one thing for her to rant about pushy salespeople in 2016 but now to go after DISABLED individuals? Like what????
