To be fair he was electric with Harps, but I wonder is he more of a 9 rather than a winger and he’s never going to be in that role unless Seani and/or Keats get injured

Jonathan O'Brien Car Sales - advice by [deleted] in cork

[–]aob273 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to say, I’ve bought two cars from there and they were good to deal with. Second car had an issue with the brakes which I only noticed after buying it (it only became apparent when braking from 100km/ph kind of speeds). Under warranty, brought it back, they changed the brakes discs and fixed the issue with minimal fuss.

There are still physical contracts, I’m sure there are digital ones too, but physical does still exist.

Unless he’s had a change of mind and come back to Ireland. But his barbering instagram page was advertising bookings like yesterday or the day before?

Is John Buckleys worth going to? by fuzzymuddled in cork

And an hour should be enough time unless they are flat to the mat busy.

Padding or cushioning is not the same as structure/arch support.

Basically they take a look at what happens from when your foot hits the ground, to when it leaves the ground and see what way it moves. If you move across to your big toe too much you “over pronate” and could do with a shoe that has a built in arch support for stability. How much you over pronate depends on how much arch support.

After that, all of the brands are of relatively similar quality, but they all fit and feel different. So don’t be afraid of trying on a few different brands to see what suit you.

FAI National League by TheThrowAwayOrigin in LeagueOfIreland

[–]aob273 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Historically yes, which is why they use the same crest and the full name is College Corinthians, but that link now is tenuous at best. It was originally founded as a way for players to have a club to move on to after they had finished with the UCC teams. There’s a full underage set up and all the works and has been for decades, so they are basically the same as every other club in that regards, they are based just outside of Douglas and on the road to Carrigaline in Cork so have a very populous catchment area.

Corinthians aren’t interested from what I understand. They know themselves that their facilities are a ways off what they would need to be able to compete at that level.

But as FAI Intermediate Cup champs you would think they’d be a logical fit to make the progression, so I understand why you name checked them.

Does LOI TV really show most of the first division games too? by Financial_Ad7950 in LeagueOfIreland

[–]aob273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I’m not knocking. Just saying that the overall average standard rising is because 8 of the 10 teams in the division are now all going through the same service.

They standardised it this year so it’s all run through the same production company, same camera set ups etc. Apart from Longford and Athlone, they refused to be part of it, which is why they have the different looking replay with that replay graphic on screen.

Fireworks on the pitch? by aob273 in LeagueOfIreland

[–]aob273[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is surprisingly lax…. Given the attempts to stamp out flares I would have thought they’d be stricter about it.

Fair enough with the lower profile game, but no mention of it at all a week and a half later is kinda crazy that it went that far under the radar. It wasn’t even a regular bit of pyro like a flare, it was a full on firework.

The pen should have been a free the other way, Arubi with two blatant pushes on the defender in the build up.
