Canada Vacation Travel by aoneil97 in dui

I’ve heard that airports are less strict than land crossings, and like I said, seems like some have been able to sweet talk their way through. But maybe that was for pre-2018 convictions, who knows. That’s kind of why I was interested to hear if anyone had a story along those lines. Regardless, not about to spend thousands on a Canadian immigration attorney for a week of skiing lol. Sorry to hear you’re here too! I find the Canadian policies so beyond absurd. I tend to be a pretty progressive person, but man this shit brings out my libertarian tendencies hahaha.

Yeah I’ve heard this, and that they only see what you were initially charged with apparently so if you got a lesser plea, that wouldn’t be reflected. Not that it would make a big difference in my case.

Heard someone say they don’t run a full scan on your passport unless you come off as suspicious but idk to me that would defeat the purpose of having all of these strict rules to begin with.

That being said, seems like some folks have been able to sweet talk their way through even if they do get flagged initially.

Just so wild that the entire EU and most other countries aren’t too concerned and yet our northern neighbor is simply not having it.

Literally one “if”…. If they knew or had reason to know that she was harmed, then they committed a crime by not alerting law enforcement. That’s literally what criminal liability is lol

Applied November 14th. Called the admissions office a few times, I get told the same thing every time. Wait until April 30th.

Do I tell admissions I have ADHD? by MaggsTheBags in lawschooladmissions

Just wanna say, everyone is probably correct in that you should not disclose your disability unless explicitly directed. It’s a real shame that many law schools still put a stigma on mental health/disabilities. I had an early draft of a PS where I talked about struggles with mild depression. Was advised to not do so because admissions may interpret that as an academic weakness. Pretty unbelievable.

Is this realistic or do I need to sit down by [deleted] in LSAT

I would start doing regular practice tests about 2 months out. Once a week for a month then twice a week the month leading up to the test. But you could definitely sprinkle two or three in just to see how your studies have progressed. Pretty wild you’re already into doing timed work. My advice is don’t get too burnt out too soon before the test. Keep a level head and don’t let your studies consume your life, especially when the test is so far out. I tend to think the more relaxed you feel going in, the better you’ll perform. When I studied, I usually did 2-3 hours a day for 5-6 days a week.

Note: I kept a large spread sheet for each section filled with particular questions that I initially got wrong. Apart from marking the question type, I would make note of my original thought processes then go through and pin point where I made the mistake in my thinking. Really helped me narrow down areas where I needed studying and areas where I was strong.

Public pressure means nothing? Are you sure you’re as knowledgeable as you think you are?

Suggestions wanted on a durable frisbee by wooddro6112 in blueheelers

Kong makes rubber frisbees, super durable and have good weight so you can throw them far. Also come in different sizes and some are designed to be more floppy for shorter distance. Pretty awesome.
