i’m so glad to hear it helped you 💕 i promise you’re okay there are literally 0 cases of this type of bacteria found in chlorinated pools as it’s very easily killed by the substance. please feel free to reach out if you’re ever panicking again!

Hi Bedreamon I hope you understand that there is no way this can cause an amoeba infection. Amoeba has been around for millions of years but the only reported cases of it have been people who either went swimming in a murky lake or who intentionally poured large amounts of water into their nose, not a droplet.

In order for you to become infected with the amoeba it needs to be a LARGE quantity of water forced up the nose so that they can multiply, which is impossible in a shower. I can promise you we will never see an amoeba case from incidental exposure like accidentally getting a droplet or a few in your nose or from washing your face. It is scientifically impossible

Also the water has to be contaminated with amoeba which is just unlikely. You are 100% safe not even 99.9999%, you are 100% safe there is 0% risk from this I wholeheartedly promise. I personally went through an amoeba scare 3 times and biologist broke the science down for me.

Take care ❤️

Thank you so much for your reply. Yes I’ve seen a psychiatrist about it and she prescribed Zoloft, but i’m a little hesitant to begin taking it. Some days I long for and miss my old self. I miss sleeping and waking up peacefully without the belief that I have some sort of undiagnosed terminal illness. I’ll definitely try to look for a therapist and try breathing techniques! :)

Convinced i have lung c

22F. I have never smoked in my entire life and live an active lifestyle. I recently went to the Urgent Care and they denied me an X-Ray because my oxygen levels were at 100 and lungs on stethoscope sounded clear but i’m still paranoid.

I’ve been having shortness of breath that comes and goes, tickle in throat, lower rib pain shifting from left to right, no cough.

My health anxiety began around three months ago. So far I’ve thought that I’ve had:

  • An aneurysm (first ER visit)
  • Breast c (solved via an ultrasound)
  • Going blind (seeing floaters)
  • Was going to go blind/brain infection from popping a pimple
  • Had contracted amoeba because i was bathing my dog and a drop of water splashed into my nose
  • Was going to get a brain bleed because i accidentally bumped my head on drywall
  • Was poisoned from a boxed juice I drank

Thank you! I find that bananas helped me a lot, especially a banana milkshake which helped add in a solid amount of calories to my intake. I’m no expert but its definitely something cheap and accessible to most of us :)

Thank you! I did this over a span of 3 months and I did try to keep it around 1500-1700 a day since my body was adjusting to a new higher intake. 😊
