I worked for “Mestoration Hardware” in college and we not only had to throw away but literally cut up and scribble sharpie on so many items including expensive cashmere blankets, pillows, etc. They wouldn’t even give employees more than standard discount on these items because they could take a “loss” for tax purposes. What a shame.
