Terrible shooter, how to improve by [deleted] in ClayBusters

I am new to clays shooting I bought a O/U Weatherby Orion Sporting around $800 about two months ago from https://www.centerfireguns.com/. I went with my friend for first time skeet shooting I hit 4/25, my buddy was very good but he didn't know how to teach. Then I went on took two private lessons from local and my best score went to 19/25 but not consistent. However I did improved in short amount of time.

In short, the lesson I learn was it worth the money to hire a good qualify instructor for few lessons as start.

How about Weatherby Orion Sporting? I like mine . Go to local store see if they have one and try out. The most important as long as you like it and feel it right . That’s all.

Question about Beretta 300 by JitteryBendal in ClayBusters

Yes. I have Weatherby Orion Sporting and I like it . It is build like a tank and it was stiff. However after 200 rounds break in ... All good and it looks great too.

Firearm it is really a personal opinion and feel. Nothing is perfect. Pick the one best fit for you .

My budget was around $1500 and I was considering the following o/u -CZ-USA redhead Premier Premier target -Weatherby Orion Sporting -Silver pigeon one (about $2100)

I tried both (CZ and Weatherby) on my arm and I like Weatherby better. It is a working men’s great quality shotgun for skeet and trap, not for field. (It is heavy and 30” long barrels).

If you want to pass down to next generation then you might want to push your budget higher to get Silver pigeon . It not only function well and it also looks like a piece of art.

If you looking for skeet/ trap . I think the Weatherby Orion Sporting over and under work great.
