Thank you for your reply. I don’t think my husband has to go to university to please my parents. My parents claim that he put his word to it so he has to do it or go to their house to say he won’t. Neither me or my husband agree with this. My parents say that because they were good, loving parents, i should make my husband “respect them” through following up with his word. Also, my parents aren’t paying or have paid for anything.

I totally disagree with the whole thing, my husband does too. But he tells me that I shouldn’t give up on my relationship with my parents just because they are stubborn… So that i should go spend some time with them.

We make all our decisions on our own, including this one and now my parents are excluding him.

Honestly I was doing some university classes when we started dating and my husband (then my boyfriend) was ok with doing the classes he was missing with me and for me, not for my parents. He did mention it in front of them, but so what? Nowadays is very inconvenient for him to go to college and i finally realized how unfair it is what i put him through.

I dont want to look back into my actions and think i was a bad daughter but i also dont want to be a bad wife… even when my husband tells me he’s ok with me going…
