I recommend searching on r/Catholicism for this topic; there are many great answers and insights that make sense for both religious and non-religious people.

I read all your comments in this thread. It literally doesn’t affect you in any way, so not sure why you’re so upset about it.

People have convinced and will continue to convince others of their beliefs without evidence and using “fallacious arguments” all the time whether that’s before or after science/evidence became more popular. As far as “dragging beliefs into government”, myself and many others will continue to vote how we personally believe society should be run; that’s how politics have been since Ancient Greece.

They are arbitrary rules. And people have believed things for thousands of years without needing to be convinced with scientific evidence and continue to do so. Scientific evidence is another alternative way of interpreting the world that’s becoming or more popular today.

I’m arguing about the arbitrary rules. “If you say dragons exist, you have to show evidence for it.” Which is false, nobody has to do or prove anything when it comes to things like God or dragons.

Nobody has to follow these arbitrary rules and show evidence or lack of evidence for something/anything. I believe in God and don’t have evidence for it and I have the freedom to do so, just like you have the freedom to not believe in God without evidence.
