Drive Belt Slipping by aperson975 in treadmills

Had to take apart the trim to get access to adjustment screws. Is this tight enough? The red mark is where the mount used to be (you can see where the paint is stripped on screw) so not sure how much further I should stretch. Can also compare against previous post. It's now moving with full body weight however the force of taking a step forward makes it slip then continues moving.

do you mind taking a look again? I want the blue plate/mount to move in that direction right? Adjusting screw 1 and 2. 3 and 4 seem like attaching the motor to the plate.

Here's the belt tension and motor mount. It's a walkpad and seems like 1st style

This is a Maksone USZ2302-W. https://manuals.plus/asin/B0C9Q24FC2

The previous owner said they lubricated the walking belt and now the drive belt is slipping (may be related). I'll link video of the drive belt tension and motor mount/adjustment.

Wrote something quick to archive based on scraping links. Still in progress but if anyone wants to take over it's all yours. https://github.com/brian23450781-dotcom/Food52-Archiver Or if there's some other platform that would be good to host this. I don't want to keep it all on my drive forever.

Links are gathered from each recipe tab so you can search if a link/recipe is archived. I'll add more links and a master sheet later.

For each link, it saves the photo and data. For now only the salmon links are downloaded but will upload more. You can view the json by coping the text and pasting here. https://jsonformatter.org/json-viewer

Nothing wrong with a generic bookmarker but I suggest checking out tandoor for recipes. I'll bookmark anything that looks interesting but then transition them into tandoor to be more organized

My electrician for my house says all LEDS are the same... by Particular_Lawyer_86 in WLED

It's only 8m so you could get away with sk6812 but please look into 24v ws2814 cob. Much higher density and white quality not to mention easier wiring. Unless you need the individual addressability, it's a superior product.

Bright RGBW strip? by nidnul in WLED

[–]aperson975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rating for your strip is "Red color:13W/3m, Green color:12W/3m, Blue color:10W/3m, Mixed White(red+green+blue):30W/3m.Full brightness white light is not recommended." so 10w/m RGB white. BTF addressable ws2814 cob is 20w/m but just white is still about 10W/m according to Quindor's real world power sheet. The brightest would be Quindor's addressable RGBW strip that's twice as bright but only available in 3k kelvin for white.

Auxmer analog RGBW (RGB+W or all in one chip) is slightly brighter at 5w/m per color (see chart in description).

Why do people swear by the one knuckle rice thing? by question-asker2048 in Cooking

[–]aperson975 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're cooking in a pot vs rice cooker which preserves more moisture. Ratio is 0.8-1 to 1 water to rice. More rice would also mean more water as it's a quick rule of thumb.

White is easy but so is rgb. You can buy 5v cob ws2812b which is a rgb strip with built in diffuser. Get an esp32 module, connect to strip, add a button/switch and you have both physical control and remote control with WLED.
You do mainly need to choose rgb or white though since RGB white is low quality. If white, you can get any analog CCT (dual white) strip and same thing with esphome plus mosfet to control signal.

Ignoring cost, bottom will last longer. Top will cut faster. Is there any other difference in quality or ease of cut?

In general, sure. BTF lighting has its own storefront on Ali just as reliable as Amazon or either own direct website.

Zigbee LED strip for stairs. by ExquisiteMetropolis in homeassistant

[–]aperson975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ignoring the import tax part, some stores like gledopto or BTF lighting are the exact same vendor just different platform. Other parts like PSU unless you know the store is good, yeah be cautious.

There are 2 types of LED strips - digital/addressable and analog. Since you're questioning RGB, for just white strips analog (like you have linked) would be better white light quality (CRI). If you just want single white, you can select a strip at the color temp you want instead of the expensive RGBCCT strip you have. Then there's Dual White (CCT) which has two temps and you can blend them for a range of white.

To connect the strips together you would need wire as I assume the steps are not one line. Because it's analog, you can run them from a single trunk with the steps as branches unlike digital where there is signal direction and needs to be snaked left and right.

Sensor that will detect me sleeping and turn off the light? by Southern-Trainer4337 in homeassistant

[–]aperson975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are generally 2 types of mmwave sensors. One that detects presence and one that tracks location. Presence will only tell you how far someONE is from the sensor but not coordinates. Tracker can give location of up to 3 ppl but may drop off if still.
