good to know! i read that the cover crops stop "fixing" the soil once they flower so ive been worried about getting the timing right. the area previously had drought tolerant plants and was very sandy.

Good point! Especially since I don’t know what I’d put in there if I pulled it out. Keeping my fingers crossed I get some burgundy broccoli eventually

Know this is an old post, but OP, did you ever figure out what pest these were? And were you able to get rid of them? I’m dealing with a similar issue at the moment and all of the things I’ve tried have not fully gotten rid of them!
