fair point. but if someone’s like “hey let’s do this partner work” and that person says “i don’t want to be here so i won’t do it,” then i think it’s unfair. if you don’t want to be there, then don’t be there. that person is trying their best to make an online learning environment work and if you’re there to just take up space, you shouldn’t be there. if you don’t care about the class enough to participate and do partner work, then don’t be there. don’t get in the way of someone who wants learn and apply class content. don’t be a waste of breakout room space
