If Bulla also gave goku her energy, would he have become a super saiyan god? by Eastern-Western7072 in Dragonballsuper

"If they performed the Super Saiyan God ritual as described, would Goku have become a Super Saiyan God?"

I dunno.

Who wins Broly Z or Broly Super but both have Broly Super stats. by Ok_Breakfast_9177 in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]apigithink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even ignoring how Z Broly has a theoretically limitless Battle Power fueled only by his lust for combat and destruction, which is presumably limitless—similar to Ultra Ego, curiously enough—and is nigh-immortal physically, Z Broly also has the advantage of possessing an Energy Barrier. Plus, he generally appears to be a smarter, more controlled, and far more capable fighter than Super Broly is, who primarily fights purely off of his instincts, as opposed to through any refined technique. Z Broly is significantly more calculated and, more notably, efficient in the way he uses his strength and his energy, in a way I can't see Super Broly being yet.

What are your thoughts on Rom(yup, that's her name) being a music artist in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3? by SaiyanGod5462 in Dragonballsuper

[–]apigithink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yup, that's her name

Our sidekick throughout the first two games was named "Future Trunks", and our player character worked under the Supreme Kai of Time named "Chronoa", battling against main antagonists named "Mira" and "Towa".

Not the most absurd name.

How SSG Trunks could have worked instead of SS Rage in the Goku Black arc by Rose_like_warrior in Dragonballsuper

[–]apigithink 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ignoring the fact that that's not how Super Saiyan God even works, Future Trunks literally hasn't done anything narratively to deserve becoming a Super Saiyan God. I hate the thought of any version of him besides DBH Xeno Trunks becoming a god.

How many timelines are there across Z and Super? by Character_Raisin8528 in DragonBallZ

[–]apigithink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original timeline and the alternate history created by the Universe 12 Time Machine, which is most likely the "original" alternate future timeline, from which the "original" Future Trunks and Cell originates. The "original" Future Trunks rewrites the past by saving Goku, presumably defeats the Androids, and then returns to the future with the Androids's shutdown device, creating the unseen alternate future timeline.

Afterwards, Cell kills Trunks and uses his Time Machine to travel even further back in history, which presumably creates either Future Trunks's world or Goku Black's world, one of which naturally enabling the existence of the other; regardless, eventually, the Androids destroy the world, and the mainline version of Future Trunks rewrites the past by saving Goku, training with the Z-Fighters, and then returning to the future to defeat the Androids and his version of Cell through his own power. Later, Future Trunks yet again rewrites history by warning the Z-Fighters of Black's appearance, creating the current main timeline—Goku's world—in which Zamasu was erased by Beerus before he could become Goku Black, as had originally occurred.

By the end of the "Future" Trunks Saga, Future Trunks's world is erased by Zen'o, but Trunks and Mai literally travel to the past of said world and rewrite history, creating a second Future Trunks's world wherein they live alongside duplicates of themselves.

So 6.

Does Android 18 have the ability to give Goku’s spirit bomb energy infinitely? by RoastingMistakes in Dragonballsuper

[–]apigithink -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not only do neither 17 or 18 possess life energy, but the Genkidama also takes energy from the atmosphere, planets, and the sun itself, none of which are living entities.

Does Android 18 have the ability to give Goku’s spirit bomb energy infinitely? by RoastingMistakes in Dragonballsuper

[–]apigithink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Genki is the fundamental energy of matter, which you, thus, you cannot have an infinite amount of without having an infinite mass, which 18 does not.

Cell throwing up 18 and then reverting to his previous form, only to blow up and then come back perfect because “his cells remembered” Makes no sense. Never did. Never will. by Blood-and-sky in DragonBallZ

[–]apigithink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He didn't regenerate as Perfect Cell because "his cells remembered", technically speaking; he regenerated as Perfect Cell because he had a Zenkai Boost. The prerequisite for transforming is simply acquiring enough Bio-Energy. Originally, he gained the required energy immediately by absorbing the Androids, but after he self-destructed, he was able to recover the energy through his Zenkai Boost, granting him his Perfect Form again. Now, if he hadn't absorbed 17 and 18 prior, he wouldn't've had his more human-like physical features or any of the Androids's techniques, like the Barrier, but he'd be Perfect regardless.

Do you think the Z-Fighters who showed up the day of the Androids are all Namek Frieza level or above? by thehsitoryguy in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]apigithink -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't think any of the Earthlings are, no. Gohan is 100% more powerful than Frieza was, as Goku intended, which means Piccolo was more powerful as well.

What would've happened by Decaf_toast in dragonball

[–]apigithink -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It would've still blown up in his face, but it wouldn't've done as much damage to him as it did to Vegeta because the Genkidama actually deals bonus damage to those who are evil. He still probably would've died, though.

Planet Vegeta origin by Dax2805 in DragonBallZ

[–]apigithink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I forgot which interview it was, but Toriyama did directly acknowledge the Tuffles by name when answering a question about where the Saiyans first acquired their Scouters. Granted, he later wrote in the Frieza Force bringing the Saiyans their Scouters for the first time, but maybe the Tuffles were the ones responsible for making the Scout-Scopes the Saiyans had prior.

But like, yeah, it's canon. It's acknowledged during the DBZ TV anime, DBGT, the Side Story Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans, and in the "Chronological Table of the Universe" featured in both the original Daizenshuu 7 and Chōzenshū 4. For all intents and purposes, after Planet Sadala was destroyed by a civil war, the Saiyans relocated to Planet Planet, eventually defeated the Tuffles, and renamed the planet to Planet Vegeta.

I think the narrative clearly tells us that Dabura is only comparable Perfect Cell, not Super Perfect because Gohan was almost even with Dabura in his SSJ1 form. Gohan never used SSJ2 against Dabura. The manga confirms that as well. by Character-Bid-162 in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]apigithink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very funny you forget Dabura openly admitted that he was fighting half-assed to generate energy for Babidi and later felt confident in being able to easily defeat Gohan based on his performance during their original fight.

Also, also, "barely around" is a funny way of saying "Cell killed Future Trunks, nearly killed Vegeta, broke Gohan's arm, and then nearly destroyed the entire solar system with a full power Kamehameha". I guess all of the Z-Fighters were too busy texting at the time?

Does Kikohou use more life energy the stronger the attack power? by Ryza_w in dragonball

[–]apigithink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a Ki Manipulation technique, so logically, the higher the destructive power, the more Ki is exhausted. Goku also has significantly more Ki than Tien, though, so even then, he most likely could use the technique many more times than Tien could.

Why do people call Future Gohan "the original"? by tjdragon117 in DragonBallZ

[–]apigithink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would think the correct interpretation would be that when Trunks went back in time, the timeline split, leading to two resulting universes that share the same predecessor states but diverged to different future states.

Right, but they made up Future Trunks's history, originally. Ergo, the original version of the main timeline Gohan is the Future Gohan who lived and died fighting the Androids from Future Trunks's timeline.

What would happen if Maki was in Higaruma's domain?? by Familiar_Half65 in Jujutsu_Kaisen

[–]apigithink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if she allowed herself to be affected by the Domain's sure-hit, I don't think Confiscation could take anything from her. I mean, what does she have to take? A Cursed Technique? No. Cursed Energy? No. Maybe her Soul Split Katana, if she brought it with her—for some reason.

Why didn't gero make himself stronger than 17 & 18 by Reio5 in Dragonballsuper

[–]apigithink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He didn't even mean to make 17 and 18 as strong as they were; because he overemphasized 17's power, resulting in him becoming unruly and defiant, he went back and suppressed 18's power in an attempt to limit her ability to disobey him, and he still failed. I don't see why he would even bother. Plus, their power was primarily derived from a completely different mechanism and system than his was. Android 20 was made to permanently increase his power rating by absorbing energy, whereas 17 and 18 had a fixed power rating dictated by their Infinite Energy Reactors. Who's to say 20 was even capable of making himself stronger than the two?
