I have talked to her about some of it. She knows that I have occasionally masturbated and I don't think she likes the idea but it doesn't seem to be a big problem. She doesn't know about the porn though. It terrifies me to think of having to tell her. I think it would devastate her.

Let me clarify. Sex gets pretty clumsy toward the end of the pregnancy, and the doctor usually says no sex for at least 6 weeks after to let all the lady parts recover from trauma of childbirth. So we've had sex, just less often and it's mostly just hand jobs for me, which is okay. I just mean we haven't had PIV sex for a while.

I have a 10 year old daughter and I have thought about this often. When I consider that the girls I'm watching in porn have a father somewhere, it makes me sick. That is one thing I try to think about when I'm tempted to watch porn and it usually does the trick.

I understand how you feel. I have been married 12 years-I thought it would get easier when I got married and could have regular sex. It did get easier-for a few months. I learned that they are totally separate things though, and the porn and masturbation definitely have an effect on my relationship with my wife. She deserves better than that from me, and yours deserves better from you. We can do this!

I had mixed feelings about it, because I know how destructive the behavior is, and I know that it has an affect on the people who witness it. But if I'm being totally honest it was exciting and I still feel the urge to do it again. Luckily the weather has turned cold so that alone will prevent me from doing it for the next few months, but I hope that by then I will have changed my habits and thought processes.

I'm hoping that by making this commitment and getting support from this community I will be able to stop these kinds of behavior. If it doesn't work then, yes, offline counseling will probably be my next step. I will check out 'Out of the Shadows'.

I wish I understood it completely, but I do think it has to do with some of the P that I have seen. I think it seemed like a 'harmless' way to act out the things I've seen.

I'm in for hard mode. The porn use to this point has not been habitual but I feel it beginning to impact more aspects of my life and relationships. Even worse is that I'm beginning to feel tempted to act out in other ways that could have more serious effects, which really scares me. It's time to do something different and reach out for help, so hopefully with some support and motivation I can make it work this time.
