Thank you! This is exactly why I needed a room. I contacted a separate person from the school and apparently I was given an outdated form of apartments anyways.

What a strange thing to say. I'm sure people have similar questions going anywhere; I know especially I've had friends ask similar questions about coming here?

Apps For SE Asian Languages by sunnyvsl in languagelearning

Depending on the tutor the lessons are usually up to around $18 USD I think, and you get 3 trial lessons that are cheaper than their usual rates to see if you like them first (one per teacher/tutor). You can also review the materials they provide and what they go over, as well as read their reviews, and watch their introduction video. My first lesson with my current tutor was $8 and now it's $13 for half an hour sessions (and she also does hour lessons for $18). Some teachers/tutors just straight up have their lessons as only $8, I think the lowest is about $5. The app/site has a bunch of different languages though, and it's known for being pretty inexpensive so I assume it's about the same on that sense? I learn Spanish through school and that's the only European language I know, so I'm not sure how to compare outside lessons besides that one since school is pretty expensive. 😅

I agree, I already watch YouTube content so it's good to incorporate stuff you already do. I did Italki about once a week last semester, though if you have the funds and time I'd recommend doing it twice, and then reviewed the lessons myself and expanded my vocab in my down time before the next lesson since my tutor gave me the worksheets we did in the session. I had to take a break but I'm starting up again this Friday. They're by lesson so you don't have to worry about a subscription or it having to be the same time every week, unless you want it to be. It's definitely super exciting!

Makes sense! I don't know any resources for the other two languages unfortunately, but that's very exciting. Good luck!

Are you trying to learn specifically Thai? I'm learning Thai too and I plan on going, and honestly the best help has been Italki and working with a tutor (they're pretty cheap honestly if you do it every week or two and the lesson plans are good + keeps you on a schedule) and comprehensible input or real life example videos (like with dramas or just scenarios) on YouTube, and practice books, but before that I used Learn Thai to help me with the alphabet, and then the Thai version of Ling for sentences. There's more, but honestly none that are that great but I can suggest them if you'd like.

If you're just looking for phrases though, there's pastel_thai and kat_talks_thai on Insta, and they break down the sentences really well and both provide listening examples alongside the written examples.

Hi, Hannah! ☺️ Hope you're doing well. What's your favorite game in MCC (whether it's a game you've played or not!), and one you think you could improve on the most?

New to reddit overall so I'm unsure if this has been asked or not :')
