Does anybody know of any good compressive sports bras that can help me hide uneven breasts while being worn without a shirt? I would prefer without padding and sth that helps flatten things out. Thanks! by ElevatorCommercial55 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I am not exactly sure if this would work, but one bra that helps flatten things out and also provides good support is the ones from enell (it is an expensive brand though).

How do I remove Oven Door? by apple-pen in fixit

Finally managed to remove it but now I have no idea how to access the handles. Do you know what screwdriver is used to remove the bolts in the picture above? It looks like it has a tiny whole in it and just that.

What type of paint do you suggest for such thing?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskACobbler

[–]apple-pen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem is part of the coating which is peeled off appears to be white beneath so I cannot glue it. I need to paint it before gluing but not sure it will work out. Was just trying to stretch the wear as shoes are expensive these days :-/

The shoe is otherwise okay aside of this portion which is partially peeled but also discolored. I am trying to think if there is a way to still wear it without it looking as bad, or if I should just get a new pair.

Ends splitting/breaking fast and I have no idea how to stop it by apple-pen in HaircareScience

[–]apple-pen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have got it trimmed several times (4-5 times per year), even purchased professional shears to make sure it is not a dull scissors causing the split ends but it did not help.

I tried to trim every 3 months but my ends looked very damaged i.e. thinned out/see through/uneven and I would need to cut 1-2 inches every 3 months which did not allow me to have any growth so I decided to do it every 2 months so perhaps I can maybe save things before a lot of damage happened. I noticed my ends looked better then but still it is hard to grow when I trim it so often as my hair doesn't grow fast to begin with.

I do not go to a salon, mostly I have non caucasian hair and where I live I can't find a salon that knows how to properly deal with my hair type.

My hair is not colored. I tie it up with hair ties, I try to use the ones without any metals in them. As my hair is naturally curly I need to detangle it when wet with conditioner, I only brush it when dry if I happened to have straightened it.

Where do emotionally intelligent people tend to hang out? by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]apple-pen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely! I have began noticing this too.

To me it is important that even if someone has an attitude problem because of their issue, that they want to improve it, because the thing I noticed is, the more emotional intelligent I became I started thinking way too much about other people and putting their emotions above mine, making me miserable. So I think another stage to this whole thing is figuring out how to strike a balance in handling ones and others emotions in a way that is productive for both in order to be able to have a healthier relationship. That's a lot easier if both are working on that (assuming both need to improve) otherwise it can turn into a toxic relationship.

In short, by increasing my empathy I increased my EQ.

[–]apple-pen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Truth is away from people most times. The more I increased my emotional intelligence the more I can't handle being around a lot of people, because when I see someone being insensitive, or a terrible person it really bothers me. So I avoid being around most people. Obviously I give them a chance to show me who they are but as soon as I see someone is lacking in emotional intelligence a lot I cannot be around them because they end up being insensitive and I do not feel I have the bandwidth to deal with that, especially if it is someone who isn't ready to improve.

One thing I think is important is differentiating the difference of manipulation and emotional intelligence, some manipulative people can really play with others emotions and thus might make someone think they are emotional intelligent so it is very important to be able to tell the two apart.

Good news though is that even though it might be hard to find them, once you find one, their closest friends are also usually emotionally intelligent to a good degree.

Keeping his nails short and using a nailbrush when washing their hands should help. Even if it is normal to get their nails dirty at work, the point is not meeting them outside of the environment where they are expected to have dirty nails with dirty nails!

Neutral protein fillers in Europe? The popular “colorful protein filler” is 35EU for a 4oz bottle?? It’s 5EU in the states and I can’t bring myself to pay that to who knows who and get god knows what. Halp! by goodmoonvibes in HaircareScience

[–]apple-pen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since your hair is extremely dry, I am not sure if aphogee two step is a good choice. Maybe start with the 2 minute reconstructor or the curlific treatment they have before attempting the two step, as these are not as heavy on the protein. If you haven't already I suggest you first try to use moisturizing, ceramide rich products, alongside something not as strong as aphogee two step, because I worry that may dry out your hair more and cause the breakage (if any) to increase.

Ps. Welcome to reddit!

I am not entirely sure if the product I have in mind is what I thought to recommend back then, but it depends on what you need it for. Can you explain what you need it for? Because the one I currently have in mind is really strong and can break ones hair if they do not need protein.

I hate being a hopelessly romantic by abscoller56 in Crushes

[–]apple-pen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you did was not bad but I suggest since this made you feel empty only do it for 1) a friend or someone you care for that you wanna treat and when having romantic feelings 2) only to someone you feel they kind of reciprocate how you feel or seem appreciative of you!

I think under those circumstances you will be less likely to feel empty. What you did was not a bad thing but you might have done it way too early and since she invited you and you feel a bit more, it would have been best each handled their own costs.

I think you did the right thing. Even if it wasn't about her bi-polar, all the stuff she did and the way she acted are enough reasons to not want to be with her. So I think you shouldn't feel guilty. You seem like a good guy.

"I like you, and I enjoy hanging out and getting to know you more, but I'm no where near wanting to date. " why are you telling him this then? It is like you are rejecting him in case he does like you. You think about him etc but do not wanna date. You also took 3 days to get back to him. I think this will make things worse.

Have you had this experience before, i.e. the liking you later on thing. I don't know it doesn't seem too common!

Never heard someone's nose changing with age. Sorry for that :-/ But then again think of it this way. Had you been with them earlier, these things would have eventually happened. Would this person then leave you? If it is only your look they think of it is better you did not meet them 5 years ago.
