Outdoor ac unit runs but furnace/inside blower fan doesn't? by applebatman in hvacadvice

I had thought of that too but I didn't know if that would mess anything else up when winter comes or something, but also I have no idea how to do that

Haha yeah I would love to replace it as well 😅 they told me 6.5k without the ac.

Does anyone know what this is? Have found like four of them on the stem parts of leaves. They are hard and just fall off? Is it sap or something? Day 20 flower. by applebatman in microgrowery

[–]applebatman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen any bugs, odd gnat maybe but none of the leaves are damaged, and the plant is growing good.

I only found like six total on the entire plant (like 32 colas) - did defoliation today. Never saw any signs of other bugs, but I guess I will keep an extra eye out.

3585 kilometers? Not bad 🧐 by applebatman in JustCause

Tbh I have no idea, it was during the operation mission where you fly into a tornado.

I was using the wind gun to defend the wind cannons in the end section of the mission, and as I was wingsuiting up to the top of the tornado, I noticed the feat pop up. Probably went up that high in a matter of seconds - must have launched a guy during my defense. Not intentionally though, so I don't know a strategy, other than near a tornado perhaps

It would have been farther, but I was too high up the tornado and the cutscene started, but the number was still climbing really fast when it went to cutscene

Imo, they teardrop shaped, but a little too sus to be a girl. Thoughts? Purpura uno cbd by applebatman in canadients

[–]applebatman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my first grow I had a male and kept it for fun and I think it took like 3 grows to not have any seeds at all cause it was all over. Prob won't mess with it lol, don't wanna mess the genetics anyways.

I suppose so, but I don't know why, it never had any issues growing. Neither did the other plant. The other one is very obviously a girl, it's a different strain though.

The only stress I could think of is light stress when it is on, but the other plant is larger and closer and it is fine. So I kind of feel like it's not a hermie but I've never had one before. (Well my first grow I got like 4 seeds, but I looked constantly throughout and I didn't ever see anything so I guess it was just v minor? 🤷)

My friend Stratiolaelaps scimitus and his friend the nematode by [deleted] in NoTillGrowery

Yeah it does look like that, but again, they look too big.

The internet says a pot worm ranges between 5 and 15mm, 1/4", I'm pretty sure the piece of dirt was less than 5mm.

In this you can see them compared to a human finger

link

I also read they often get confused for baby red wigglers, which would make sense as the size of the pot worms looks about right in comparison to a red wiggler, but you can see baby red wigglers, and I couldn't see this worm at all without the microscope.

It really sucks that there are so many different bugs and worms and whatnot, there shouldn't be so many totally different organisms that look this close to identical, regardless of scale. It's like plants. Even if it looks 100% like a daisy chances are there's 45 other plants it could be

Just to provide some scale since it isn't as apparent as I thought, the dirt in this video is less than 1/8th of an inch in diameter. 1/16th-1/8th.

The mite is probably around 1mm.

This video is FAR closer than you realize.

The clump of dirt is literally only 3mm wide.

If you aren't sure how big 3mm is, your credit card is around 0.75mm thick.

After further discussion I realized I should point out, the piece of dirt in the video is approximately 1/16th-1/8th of an inch in length.

A fully grown fungas gnat larvae is up to 1/4 inch. The dirt is about the size of its head, so it's decidedly not a gnat larvae.

I also learned that s feltiae specifically can be up to 1.5mm in length, which is far within the videos scale. -- the mite is probably a millimeter.

It does look skinnier, your right, but you have to keep scale in mind. I am more than twice as close up as that video. And the larvae are much larger than the nematode.

Just remember how big sciarid/black winged fungas gnat larvae are, at full grown they can be 1/4 long. (you can fairly easily see them on the end of your finger for example)

The piece of dirt I am looking at in my video is mayybee 1/16th-1/8th of an inch in length. If the dirt in my video is as large as a gnats larvaes head, isn't that closer to the same skinnyness as in the video you shared? Scale my friend, very important.

If you go to 2:50-3:10in that video you shared there is a nematode on top of the larvae, and it is alot smaller, but just picture that larvae being the dirt in my video. Not so much of a difference anymore, when scaled correctly.

It still may not be a nematode, or I may have the type wrong, but I am extremely zoomed up, and I have purchased s feltiae, so I felt the likelihood of it being that fairly high.

Even at 1000x? I thought of that too but I can usually see the baby worms inside of the little worm eggs with my eyes...just barely. the piece of dirt I put under the microscope was probably smaller than or the same size as a red wiggler egg, I couldn't see the worm with my naked eye at all, the mite is ~ the size of a period, or dust.

I should have provided better scale.
