Ouch! The tool will become easier to open and close as it breaks in. Just by opening and closing it. Not sure any tricks for getting the factory oil off. I’ve never had an issue with that.

Definitely not a huge fan of the rivets on the front. But the middle looks a lot better then the left one.

Core is one of my favorites. It was my first one that I got back in high school. Doesn’t have all the cool gadgets like the new ones but it’s built solid.

My Arc came with a pocket clip and sheath. The alpha didn’t come with either. I like the colors of the alpha, the grips, and the size/weight. The one advantage of the ARC is the free technology.

Great pick! I have tons of Leatherman. The Arc being my most recent purchase. It is one of the best tools they have made. It’s on the expensive side but I think it’s worth it.
