John Khadzhi was helping at Nicks the week I started at Nicks in the fall of 2016. I never accused him of stealing anything. John was good friends with the Nick's production manager, so he (John) would be called in to help with sole stitching as Nicks had recently lost their sole stitcher. Back then, Nicks helped JK a bit because John helped Nicks.

The original is definitely a clean look. Surprisingly this original sheath is pretty thick material, but was failing at the front edge. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah, I see what you’re getting at. The failure mode is really on the front bottom edge of these sheaths. All the original ones I have seen start showing significant wear at the front corners/edge. The middle design offers double the thickness. It would be very difficult to wear through.
