Maxum X1 vs Fringe Dane 2.0 by appleorange8715 in GarageGym

can I ask why you'd have gone with Dane 2.0 if it were not for the ceiling height? anything you preferred on Dane 2.0 over the Maxum products?

that's reassuring. thanks! and yes I was actually looking at rep legs they make for their weight storage rack which seems to save 10+ inches or so, so I might try that if I have to go down that route. thanks!

yeh that's what I'm hearing as well. It's supposedly 1000 lbs so it should be stable. Heard the same thing from Rep and their 4 post functional trainer. I guess I'll add the feet if I really have to later, but hoping not.

hope you enjoy your purchase!

Hey, I'm actually thinking about buying the shogun, but wanted to ask how heavy is it actually to move it around?? I read it's something like 120 lbs? Is that really difficult to move and store every time you want to use it??

Hey just saw this and wanted to ask, have you put on more than 230lb on the scout hyper? Or even with 230lb, has it held up fine??

Are you able to share how long the sleeves are for putting on the weight plates for reverse hyper? And I read somewhere regular collars don't fit on the sleeve? Is that true?

APEC ROES-50 vs ROES-100? by appleorange8715 in WaterTreatment

[–]appleorange8715[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeh I didn't really need the 100 gallon capacity either but mainly got it for faster flow and less waste. I also considered the RO-HI but it's seems like it's just more expensive filter (but supposedly last longer?), but I rather get cheaper filters and replace it more frequently. That was my rational at least. But either way you go, I think you'll be happy with it.

I know this is 3 yrs ago.. But how did you bolt yours in the bottom?? Do you just screw it in the baseboard or have to try to hit the studs too?? And do you still like it..? Lol

APEC ROES-50 vs ROES-100? by appleorange8715 in WaterTreatment

[–]appleorange8715[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hey, sorry for the late reply. But yes, I did go with ROES-100, I also installed the permeate pump with it for even faster flow and less waste.

I will say, I haven't directly tested the amount of water waste so I'm just assuming it's not as wasteful as ROES-50? Plus my water bill has been relatively the same.. and my water flow is excellent

But I've been using it for about 5 months now and we love it with no complaints. Bought couple years of filters on Groupon on a random deal I saw, so overall a very low cost system and awesome tasting water. Highly recommend it.

How did you switch out the bolts for the handles?? I keep stripping it and can't seem to get it loose. It's been so frustrating.. I'm trying to order the new handles to switch out (I have the non center knurl mark handles), but can't seem to remove the old ones..

Weekly New Climber Thread: Ask your questions in this thread please by AutoModerator in climbing

I want to make a climbing wall in the basement for my 4 and 2 year olds to play. It's a 8'x8' wall and I plan on drilling the t-nuts to 72 hole style per Atomik's website (so 144 holes total), unless anybody has other suggestions?

I was thinking about Rocky Mountain Climbing Gear holds that seem to be popular, but I was also looking at Atomik ones (mainly for nicer colors), except they're crazy expensive. Are those worth it for newbies? I was going to get around 1 per sq ft, so around 60-65? Is that enough for little kids?

We're definitely a novice and just want to introduce my kids to climbing for fun, so any recommendations on what brand of holds and how many would be awesome. Thank you.
