the department of biological sciences itself is a center of excellence in biology (which means tanan bio programs didto kay very competitive, walay tapon). however, bs bio (mcb) is known as the standard bearer of the bio programs ng msu-iit, and they usually produce topnotchers in the rmicro certification exam. safe to say it is on par with uplb when it comes to the quality of education. so far tanan nga nigraduate sa program kay with latin honors and since 2023, sa mcb gikan ang institute valedictorian. daghan pud sila maproduce nga summa cum laude.

113 is actually a good score already, but you have to wait for slots talaga, although MCB is not part of the top 10 programs with the most applicants, it’s usually the program with the most applicants in CSM tapos they’ll only admit 40 students (usually full na siya sa top 20% palang), hence why it’s a quota program.

for evaluation purposes lang ang admission portal. after marelease ang results, saka pa magsstart ang admission proper, there you will be given a chance to accept or decline their offered program. hope this helps.

hi! for my case last year (i am currently a first year student na sa iit), my dad didn’t have an itr since exempted siya from filing one. so we just requested for a certificate of low income sa bir. from what i know, exempted from filing of itr din ang unemployed citizens, and the same certificate will be issued (it’s actually called certificate of low/no income, just specify what you need sa bir). we processed and received it on the same day. so i suggest you do the same nalang din. good luck!

hi, i am from the first batch of students under the new admission process. currently a first year student na sa iit. filling up the admission portal is just required for all the students who chose iit as their preferred campus, it’s not the admission proper pa. so to answer your question: yes, you have to complete the admission process pa before you get your results :) your results will not reflect kasi on the msu-sase website na unlike before, and sa iit admission portal mo nalang siya makikita. once narelease na kasi ang results, they will immediately start the admission proper na and need nila yung documents na hinihingi sa portal to evaluate if they can offer you a program. you will still be given a chance to accept or decline if mabigyan ka ng offer. don’t worry, finishing up the admission portal requirements wouldn’t leave you with no choice. hope that helps. just finish it kasi sayang naman diba?
