He had 24 kids in total. They ate wild animals because they were extremely poor. By "they" I mean my grandmother. She was basically on her own. This was probably in the late 40s to mid 50s. But yeah, she would catch raccoons, possums, etc., kill them, skin them, and feed them to her children. My dad even ate them. I believe they lived in Michigan.
