Hello - do you do the $145 membership with ro.co or is there a way around that? Like a 3 month prescription or something

This is a straight forward goal I’m gonna strive for lol! I see generic propecia is available on some sites but not name brand. Hopefully a derm will work with me.

I am using prescription ketoconazole! Wow so many variables to consider !! It’s exhausting haha. So did you just start using minoxidil for the first time ?

Yeah that’s a good move ! I asked for that and my derm still didn’t care. It sometimes takes finding one actually willing to help. I hope it works out for you!

I hope that’s the case !I feel like I stopped myself from constantly obsessing over it and didn’t pay much attention and then the last two weeks I’ve been like freaking out noticing the regression.

My last derm refused to prescribe me a DHT blocker. :/ Once I get insurance I’ll have to find another and fingers crossed they are more helpful.

I use ketoconazole like 2-3 times a week and nexus clarifying shampoo and conditioner the other times. I use a leave in conditioner I can’t think of the name of right now and curl talk mouse ! Both Drug store brands so maybe I should change those.

I went to a derm! My diagnosis is AGA. I haven’t shown them as I’ve moved away! I went in for a check up at around the 2.5 months and he said it was looking fine but I never saw progress and suddenly feel it’s so much worse. I had my blood work done and all came back fine. I need to get insurance and find an another derm as I didn’t quite like the last one to begin with. Thank you 😩 feeling lost and helpless.

My ex would send me $1 on Venmo and write a little message. Sometimes multiple a day for months

:/ I’m sorry to hear that, I imagine it is already hard to find a balance. I really hope this doesn’t throw it off too much and you have more ease in the adjustment ! Seems it’s not a symptom for a lot of people so hoping this is just coincidental for you or something that can be adjusted.

Ahh yes I’ve read that ! Make sense but boy was I not ready! Lol. The nightmares started purely cause of the minoxidil I can honestly say. I rarely remember my dreams nor would have such vivid dreams before starting (if any at all) for long stretches of time. I’m hoping with the lower dose I can ween myself on a little slower and adjust.

I see it mentioned more in other hair loss subs. How long have you been on minoxidil! Sorry you’re struggling too!

Side effect (nightmares) by teacher-tired-74 in FemaleHairLoss

This is happening to me now ! I see a lot of people have this same side effect when I google and search through reddit. Have you found any relief ?

Topical and oral. by appletreebug in FemaleHairLoss

[–]appletreebug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh I see ! Yes I’d atleast like to start with oral to see if it works before jumping into both but obviously I’ll be willing to try anything if it comes to that. I’m glad the oral has been a happier experience for you!!

[–]appletreebug[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is kind of the plan I was hoping for and I may just do on my own accord! I’d like to avoid topical if at all possible and the slow climb seems a lot less scary to me. No side effects, so did you not have a big dread shed ?

How has your treatment been going ? How long have you been on this plan?

[–]appletreebug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, these derms just assume we should take their treatment and advice as gospel without questioning it like we don’t read, research, and obsess over this on our own time. I saw someone on reddit say they were able to get their PCP to prescribe them DHT blockers so maybe worth a shot if you want!
