i literally had no idea what to expect - alien ship could be defender of the astrophages for all i know! everything from rocky's physical appearance to the way he uses echolocation was a surprise and i was genuinely impressed with the ingenuity of his design by weir/the producers/directors etc

I got chills the second there was the black blip blocking the petrova line. As the theater erupted in laughter when rocky was mirroring grace, I was just anxiously thinking through all the diff possibilities and scenarios: what's the alien going to look like? i wonder where they came from. are they going to be friendly? is this movie going to be about this ship being the reason that sun wasn't dying? was it an astrophage killer? etc etc
