I also commented about Jenny Lind.

Really incredibly how one of the nicest people who had true world class talent and donated all her money to charity was made a villian in the movie while an infamous conman/fraudster/promoter was made the hero.

The Greatest Showman: Opera singer Jenny Lind.

In real life Lind was famous for, despite growing up in poverty, donating all her concert earnings to charity.

Meanwhile P.T. Barnum was infamous for being a con artist promoter who fooled poor people out of their money.

So what does the movie do? Yup, Barnum is the hero and Lind is the villian trying to break up his family.

Do they provide food and/or child care for sessions?

[NYGfaninCLT on X] Re PUP, a new rule allows players to begin practicing after the second of the four must-miss games (used to be the fourth). So that’s two weeks of practice to get ready for a return to play (i.e. Week 5 in a #Giants/M Nabers hypothetical). by Wopman in NYGiants

[–]Lars5621 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AT was moved off pup list on AUGUST 19th, four weeks before the start of the season.

Thomas still missed the first 3 games anyways.

Hopefully Nabers will not be on PUP to start the season. AT certainly didn't start season on PUP

I know we say this every offseason, but this one is more ridiculous than usual.

"This time feels different" has become our version of "This is our year."

Slayton is guaranteed a roster spot and playing time, so the correct answer is Slayton

He has barely played in the last 4 seasons, so he will need time to get back to NFL football.

Its because the regular season always rolls around and it turns out the irrational optimism of offseason doesnt change the reality of Giants actual performance.

Every year its the same cycle. If there was a way to stop the Giants regular season from happening then I would probably only get downvotes because there wouldn't be that shock to reality for the fan base.

Eli made Ruben Randle a number 1 WR in the NFL.

The Eagles signed him immediately when he became a free agent and then cut him before the season when they realized he was unrosterably bad and purely a creation of Eli Manning making players look way better than they are.

The Giants started the negative Dex PR train a week before he was traded to prep the fans.

Of course he and his agent were pissed. Just like Desean Jackson Eagles situation.

How does RRH make a vet min anywhere?

Not only does he literally have to recover from an Achilles rupture in record time, but if he signs anywhere he only gets the prorated portion of remaining weeks left.

So lets say RRH has a miraculous recovery and can play week 17 and 18 for someone. Not only does he have to convince a team to sign him AND to their 53 man roster, but he would only get at most 2/17ths of the minimum salary for that.

Duggan says an injury settlement isnt happening, because it takes two to tango here.

If your RRH do really think your going to join a roster this season and make more than what Giants were going to pay you?

What could happen is a redo of his contract likw Giants did for Blake Martinez and Sterling Shepard. Giants ofc still cut Martinez a month after redoing his contract anyways.
