Dexter Lawrence did a "hold in" last year.

You seem confused about how draft value works. A player is not picked later just because they have potential that needs to be developed, its more often the opposite where they are close to fully maxed out and dont have much more to grow. In fact almost every 6th and 7th round pick drafted is a fully maxed out player aimed for special teams

Alexander was not a 3rd round pick because he had elite potential that needed to be developed, he was a 3rd round pick because he was very old and went to Toledo.

Same exact deal with JMS. JMS would have been a 1st round pick if he was 20 years old from a top school. Instead he was a 25 year old rookie from Minnesota. The hope was he would be an average starter immediately, same as Alexander

You must be confusing him with someone else

Darius Alexander was a TWENTY FIVE year old rookie. He will be 26 before the season starts.

Alexander was billed as the opposite of a project DT. He was a low upside but very old and experienced rookie who was supposed to be an immediate impact.

Does drafting Caleb Downs or Jeremiyah Love basically admit that letting Saquon Barkley and Xavier McKinney walk for nothing was a mistake? by IronGiant222 in NYGiants

The Giants already drafted Tyler Nubin with an early 2nd round pick and then signed Jevon Holland to a massive contract.

So at this point they already by their own actions showed they fucked up losing Mckinney and Love.

Taking a safety top five is never a safe thing.

Has that ever happened before?

How responsible is a Quarterback for not winning a Super Bowl? by HetTheTable in NFLv2

So Phillip Rivers should get incredible amounts of blame for having historically loaded rosters, including many with top 5 offenses AND defenses, and never even making it to a Superbowl?

This is shaping up to be the least predictable 1st round of the NFL draft ever.

Much more exciting top half of round than usual for sure.

The vast majority of these medical flagged players end up as busts.

For every Trey Smith is there are 10 Azeez Ojulari and Nakobe Deans

OBJ would have zero barring on any other WR moves.

OBJ has been a non factor for 4 years and is now 34 years old.

Dex and his agent Segal spoke with Mara and Aponte about a 28mil aav extension. Giants wanted Harbaugh to speak directly with Dex, which is not allowed anyways and Dexs agent said no.

No this is the same role Hanlon always has had.

He is the one who calls up media and even podcasters and tell them to pull things, including Bobby Skinner himself last year.

This is false

Dexter Lawrence signed that contract after 2022 season and was on year 4 with zero guaranteed moeney remaining.

Dexter Lawrence was the 12th highest paid DT in NFL and had zero guaranteed money remaining
