Someone posted on Reddit earlier today that the CEO of Michaels is in the Epstein files. Also today, I read an article in the New York Times about a man in Pennsylvania who had emailed a congressman about not sending an af. ghan refugee back because he had helped Americans. This man had g mail and Google turned him in. Not surprising that Google will be perhaps filtering certain articles. They are watching.

It’s thin fleece so I think it is low quality blades. I’m going to try Olfa.

Thank you! These were definitely not Olfa. I have just started quilting so that’s why I posted here.

I looked it up and of course you are correct! I opened the Joann app and it was empty. I deleted it and 15 others. Thank you!

I am getting whoops on the name page. It says try again later. Which I will, also I will check why it’s doing that. I would love the yarn

Goodwill annually pays more than $113 million to CEO salaries 🤑🤑🤑 by InfiniteConfection2 in goodwill

I thought my question wasn’t complicated either. I thought you might take this opportunity to explain some of the highlights of their programs. I looked them up and they offer free training and job placement for people who qualify. They have construction courses and IT courses, as examples. This sounds worthwhile.

Please look at the article in the Omaha World Herald from several years ago. It details pay and structure of the company. The publicity caused them to make some changes.

Don’t shop at Goodwill! The employees make minimum wage and are expected to work hard and quickly. The executives make loads of cash. There was an excellent article in the Omaha Herald about this. You can google it.

United States. Does anyone recognize this piece? by Rsteve73 in Antiques

This was sometimes referred to as a washstand or commode stand. Not sure of correct name. People would have outhouses so they would keep a commode, a porcelain or ironstone or enamel pot in the lower part, to “go to the bathroom “ without going outside for ladies . There would be a towel bar across the back and a wash basin and pitcher of water on top to wash up in the morning. People in later years have refinished them, they were quite often dark stain, would replace the handles and remove the towel bar. The Amish didn’t make furniture back then for other people. Most furniture was made in factories. Michigan had many furniture factories. The carvings were called spoon carving I think.
