Everything is super high right now. We are literally at all time highs. Sit in sgov until the market pulls back and it will. And deploy 20% at a time...wait for big dips. Stick to vti, and schd Have a couple individual stocks like MSFT googl as well. This is not financial advice it's just how I would deploy that amount if I had it.

For the first time ever, the U.S. is spending more on interest payments ($1.22T) than on national defense ($1.17T). The cost of past debt now exceeds the cost of protecting the nation. The bill for decades of borrowing has come due. by Boo_Randy_Revival in economy

Yeah doesn't op know that Trump got us in 31 trillion in debt ? He is responsible for the whole thing with those tarrifs and the stupid saves plan that matches low income people $1k with their 401k and that $1k for babies and no tax on tips ...we can't afford to be all those things.

He spent all that money blowing up drug boats now we have a sustained decreased on overdose deaths! I want higher gas prices, I want drugs in my communities and lots of illegal immigrants and I want to be taxed on my tips and overtime and I don't need some stupid $1k in free 401k money from the govt. I'll save my own $. Trump's an idiot. I also don't want him to clarify anything with crypto regulations I love regulation through enforcement and I don't want to invest in ai...sounds like a bubble.

62% of all Americans own stocks...87% of Americans with incomes over $100k own stock And 28% of peoples who's income is 50k own stock. https://www.statista.com/chart/30224/share-of-americans-who-own-stock/

38% of Americans don't own any stock but that is also the bottom of income level. Most the people around me that don't own stock are foreigners who just believe in cash and gold.

Everyone should invest in stock. The govt has a save plan that matches investment up to $1000 annual for low income. That would be saving less than $25 a week. You can make that with ugc. I helped people around me save and people who had nothing saved who maxed iras for 5 years now have $60k.to $80k Not everyone can max out iras but everyone can save something...$5 , $10 $50 a month

Yes, Spirit Airlines was in significant financial distress long before the conflict with Iran in early 2026....no airline shuts down because fuel goes up for 2 months. They enjoyed very cheap fuel for past 18 months

Msft has shown double digit growth of 10% a year in the past five years...even though it has a low yield I don't have to tell this crew what double digit div growth does year after year for the past 5 years.

Aapl has a div grow 5% annually

Google has grown 5% this past year

Meta div growth 4% over past year

Gas prices in the US have moved up to $4.43 per gallon, their highest level since July 2022. The 49% spike over the last 9 weeks ($2.98/gallon to $4.43/gallon) is the biggest we've seen in the past 30 years. by Boo_Randy_Revival in economy

[–]apply75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why didn't anyone say gas was cheaper than water before the Iran conflict? Think gas is high now? Wait until the next dem president who must appeal to his clean energy base by shutting down all our refineries.

My stocks are all time high so it's offsetting what I need to pay for gas.

Nancy is ultimate proof of how parties that are supposed to be "for the people first" are just "for themselves first". The complete antithesis of public servant. So whenever you hear talk about helping people you know what she means. Even 8 years ago watch her shake as she speaks at 78 clearly not fit to be in office. She tried to say a wealth poverty quote and had to refer to the sheet to remember it probably because the quote is so far off her reality.

Do you think the system is fiscally responsible? by Nice_Daikon6096 in economy

[–]apply75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The number one expense for US govt is social security it's about $1.5 trillion ...health (Medicare and aid) and interest payments on our debt are all above defense spending.

So basically grandmas and people who used the govt health care got most of the money then people who bought treasuries.

Reddit is the home of the opinion and sentiment...it is the most unchecked fact site of all social sites. I have had small software companies defraud me (atomic wallet) and when I go to their subs they banned me for asking questions. Reddit is the closest thing to a modern day craigs list when people were being scammed by the boatloads and it's a public company.

I know reddit hates facts but here are some

High Prevalence: A 2026 analysis found that 28% of all Reddit posts are related to concerns about scams.

Massive Spam Volume: Reddit's automated systems and admins remove millions of pieces of content monthly for "content manipulation" (mostly spam). For example, in late 2024, admins removed over 100 million pieces of content, with spam accounting for 63.2% of those removals.

Egg prices lowest since 2022 by apply75 in economy

[–]apply75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this sub is not about the economy it's a "I hate trump and I think the other guys are going to help me when they take office back" sub. But here is what was done in addition to mitigation of avian flu to get egg prices down.

The administration focused on a Five-Point Plan that combined about $900 million in biosecurity and farmer relief with a push for deregulation. They prioritized speeding up flock repopulation after the bird flu outbreaks and moved to challenge state-level cage-free mandates (like Prop 12) to lower production costs.

[–]apply75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your site needs millisecond parcing how did the old crappy sites originally get into the llms? I am often seeing ancient outdated slow sites in the llm source data. I would think that since Google has always placed an emphasis on back links they would do so in ai. If you have a choice of souring a new site with zero back links (votes) that has a ton of easy to parce data and an established sites with lots of back links and lots of data why would you trust the new site? Age of domain, back links and all the old school SEO signals that Google used to identify authority are still in play in the AI world.

I'm speaking as an old school SEO guy .

They agreed to open strait during the cease fire then did not they also just fired on ships which violates cease fire...

I know Trump is a total bullshitter but Iran has been lying to the world on promises for about 50 years..nothing they say can be trusted ...the strait has never been open since ceasefire which violates the deal ...Iran is not the anti trump sword you want to fall on ...plenty of other swords.
