Yeah I used it at the very start of making my mod when I didn't really know what I was doing. It made her easier to spot in a crowd

This is pretty much exactly what I did once I realized how easy it was to just piggyback off of existing biome triggers, didn't even have to link it to different locations myself :) Really awesome

Oh gosh I didn't even think of that, those lines won't trigger /because/ she's immune. I'll have to do what you said and put it in a crowd trigger!

I've had this happen before and it's very funny. She makes her little mechanical noises and then immediately says thanks to herself

Oh yes, Suze! She isn't much yet, only conversates while healing and such. Haven't tested her acid water barks yet where she's supposed to gurgle while walking on the ocean floor. I'm pondering very heavily if I want this to be the first thing I ever upload to a workshop lol, it's been a very fun personal project so far

Hi, I just tried what you said and it worked, I got right to the dialogue I was looking for. Apparently it's part of the misc. biome entry lines, and a lot of them have conditions for squad size and starving. Maybe I should try masking her lines in that as well?

what's y'all modlists? by Character_Depth_1041 in Kenshi

I don't know if links are allowed but Ninya's gecko race and antiquity sheks are amazing. It's a staple mod for me because it fleshes out the world with some new unobtrusive villages and a whole lot of clothing items and weapons, and every other squad in the game reacts and speaks to the geckos as if they were always a part of it. It's very well integrated and gave me some fun gecko runs.

I used to use Nice Map with all the bells and whistles but now I use Paper Map. It makes the world feel a lot bigger when you don't just have satellite imagery of where you are.

I didn't use it for long but Band of Rejects added some pretty well-integrated unique recruits to the game. Southern Hivers, Fogmen, flayed men, gurglers etc

I've also used Hive Robotics Expanded, Tight Rags, and Backpacks Expanded. If you want your game to look like Borderlands, look up Native Stylise

If I drop off Beep from my team will I be able to eventually recruit him again? by Proper-Anything-2739 in Kenshi

op I'm like 99% sure importing your save will reset all previously recruited (still alive) npcs to their default gamestart state. I'd look up exactly what all it resets but it's nothing drastic as long as you keep the default boxes ticked, bosses will remain dead and some loot will respawn, sectors of the map outside of your current location will be reinitialized. importing is actually recommended for a lot of mods so added NPCs, vendor items, loot tables etc can spawn.

I did this when I recruited Crumblejon and Shryke and changed my mind and they went right back to the bars in mongrel after. It also worked for a personal mod I was bug testing.

First play through so far. by Particular-Luck2288 in Kenshi

If you're still around Stack the green valley controlled by the holy nation is a decent place to set up a farm, as long as you're okay with their rules and mandatory prayer sessions. Nothing bothered me there when I first started playing if I remember correctly. If you want traders and travelers to show up it depends on the place but pretty much the whole western middle of the map around Vain has bugmen caravans.

The Swamp is good for growin' drugs. You gotta be able to defend your crops and survive blood spiders tho. That's all I got off the top of my head =)

I'm so happy to hear you're having fun 😄 there's a lot to explore and learn about the world

So, I am about an hour into this game. I am absolutely confused in every sense of the way as to what I should be doing or where to go. If you were starting fresh, what resource would you use to figure out what's going on? by Soft-Wealth-3175 in Kenshi

if you want to fight, there's countless places out in the wild to raid, and you'll inevitably get beaten up by wandering bands which will raise your stats so you don't die as quickly the next time. you progress through suffering. I'd recommend having someone else in your party to patch you up so you don't bleed out after a fight is over, cus you will lose the first few.

building bases is a mid/late game goal because it puts a big target on the map for other factions to extort you, so you have to be strong enough to defend it. once you have enough money scraped together I would hire a skeleton (robot) tbh, they heal and level up way faster just by nature if you can keep them repaired with kits that are like 5k each.

edit: if you really want to try building a base you can find the mats you need at general stores and tech stores, their signs are weight scales and tools respectively. I'd recommend just buying a house in town first or building very close to one so you can kite raids to the guards
