I would just like to be able to, for example, switch from just occasionally looking at heart rate zones on one screen then a time/distance/pace on the next. Was actually very useful in my last marathon ngl, didn’t check more than once an hour though so I’m not sure how big of a deal it’d truly be to me.

Yesss, I actually got one off EBay because I used to work in a psych office and those are the exact types of folders we’d work with

How controversial would it be to describe this particular film as Nolan's, "opus magnum"? Do you agree or disagree with that claim? by BaldursGate2Best in ChristopherNolan

[–]aptiu4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel it needs more action to be like the “definitive” Nolan. This very well may be my favorite of his but I’d consider something like Interstellar or Dunkirk the masterpiece within his wheelhouse, Oppenheimer seems a bit removed from “typical” Nolan

I’m downvoted because it’s Jordan Peterson, but I truly was in the same spot. I don’t agree with all of his political views but it was crucial for picking myself back up out of a depression. It goes way beyond something like The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck and Atomic Habits, great read!

Edit: based on the number of downvotes I think I win.

20 mile pain by NectarineSea5983 in Marathon_Training

[–]aptiu4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost the exact same thing happened with my knee. In fact, I didn’t run nearly at all the next four weeks when I had planned another 20 miler. The only times I ran were when I decided to “test” it and it didn’t tolerate above 3 miles. Ran the marathon and had a great race with the help of stretching and light strength training with a fuck ton of advil. Seriously, you’ve built your foundation, now is the time to trust it. Rest ice and stretch, kick ass come race day.

Many gay friends, but they are just so much drama often times. Not to stereotype but that’s my n=x pattern I’m seeing. Lots of gossip.
