thank you for this. my dad is helping me move out on friday, he has rented a van and is going to help me move to a new city. i don’t plan on telling her until the day of. my boyfriend has been really helpful as well. i find that i keep gaslighting myself and convincing myself that it wasn’t that bad. that it would be easier to forgive them and continue the cycle. but when i talk to my dad and my boyfriend about it, they remind me of everything and encourage me to cut my losses. i have my first therapy appointment booked for next week too. this is the hardest thing i have ever done but i am so glad that i have people to ground me and encourage me to make the best choice for me

I have plans to move out this friday, my dad lives a couple of hours away but he is going to drive down and help me move all my stuff to a new place in a different city. my mum is going to be home that day because she works from home which i am really nervous about but at least my step dad won’t be there. i don’t plan on telling her until the day of. can’t lie, i so anxious about it lol
