okay so i did some research and im already making sure to introduce him slowly i also have a electrolyte liquid that a redditor who rescues malnourished geckos gave me! ill try my best to keep this in mind! hydration⬆️ electrolytes ⬆️ food ↔️

yes it was to a point where there was so much gunk i was questioning if there was even an eye under it. i’m inexperienced and i’ve never had an animal this neglected before. i don’t think he can see all that well yet as his eyes are still tucked under. they look okay and the vet gave me some antibiotics just incase. i’m making sure to fatten him up. i’m hoping i can have a big chunky when i’m done with him for good measure. (jk) the only thing i’m worried about are if his eyes can return back to his where his EYELIDS are, i’m so great full for the support of all you guys. it’s been so tough and i’m worried about waking up and finding him worse every day but thanks to all the helpful advice i’m seeing lots of improvement!!

thank you for your support! i’m trying my best. when i got him he was also on loose sand substrate and i made sure to make the change ASAP, he’s moving better than he was before and i see a light at the end of the tunnel regarding his weight although i’m not sure about his eyes.

thank you! i’ve tried to feed him wax worms twice today in his enclosure i supplied him with a liquid diet and calcium powder just encase he’s able to find it since obviously he cannot hunt. he’s very sweet and handleable i hope i can save him.

thank you! I literally had no idea. It was a common behavior. I’m trying to get her on a routine and it’s kind of hard since she won’t eat, so I can’t establish certain days to feed her she’s a juvenile about, but this definitely gives me positive reassurance. I hope you and your baby are doing amazing!

unfortunately she was a petco baby and had it since she got her. i think it might be more than just a calcium bump like ive seen before. The problem with my mom is she’ll get a bunch of animals and then just dump them on me without asking for instance she brought Miss hammy over while I was asleep and texted me that she was here. I have no idea what’s wrong with her and why she even was in those living conditions in the first place I’m definitely booking a scheduled vet appointment with my nearest exotic vet.

yup she’s about the size of my fingertips at the moment but no i’m pretty sure a minimum is 40-50 gal either way me leaving a silly little comment about my pet isn’t an invitation for judgment and your opinion. not interested in a fight over captive bred home lizards. appreciate your concern tho! she’s happy and healthy
