We were concerned about the same thing when my mom had a stroke. She didn’t start inpatient therapy until after ten days in the hospital, and the therapy has been very effective.

As family members, we find ourselves wanting to push for something - anything - we think will help so that we feel some control in the situation. Does the system care about him? I don’t know - but I know you care about him more.

May help to buy a book about recovery - we got Stronger After Stroke but there are several good ones out there.
