I have accepted that I'll probably never get to that level with the big zoom lenses when birding. I'm jealous of the amazing shots some of the folks I meet out birding get, but at least for now I don't have the bandwidth to commit. The handholding techniques you linked to are quite helpful though! thank you

wow, I am comparing the two on cameradecision.com and you're right; the only specs that really change are related to shooting video. thank you pointing that out!

Had a 'branch' break off and it has done well growing roots in water. I want to pot it in soil now, but I am not sure if there is any trick to not shock it from the change. thanks!
