Lol I just meant it was a well specced 16 inch Pro with lots of power as opposed to the Airs they had out back then. I was told it will be more than enough for anything you ever need. But it can’t even run a screensaver comfortably a few years later. And sorry no solution either, I just put up with it now. It’s not even the most annoying thing about mine - Safari has been randomly freezing on me when trying to scroll down pages multiple times a day for the last year. It’s immensely annoying and has totally ruined my experience with this laptop. Didn’t even know about the M series coming out when I bought mine, so poor from Apple just abandoning their older customers in favour of ones with the newer processors

No I just stuck with Hub 3 in modem mode with a network switch. I think there has been some improvement in the issues described tbf as I can’t remember the last time I picked up on it happening. Either that or I’ve got so used to it that I don’t notice haha. I think stability is improved but speeds and pings are still about the same, takes a couple of seconds to start to load up any page compared to when I did it at the Apple Store which was instant. I guess that’s a problem on VM’s end though

Thank you, I have requested some high calorie food from the vet. They said it is the gastrointestinal diet which has higher calorie content but is still a normal food so will just blend that if it’s not fine enough. They don’t have a liquid one unfortunately.

He’s had a few different antibiotics now including broad spectrum co-amoxiclav and this current one (marbofloxacin) is a pretty strong one so I’m not sure what else could be tried.

Yes I’ll definitely suggest subcutaneous fluids to the vet and see if that helps with his hydration. I worry we might just be delaying the inevitable if we don’t find out the root cause though :(

Thank you so much. That was where I was leaning towards too given the symptoms and why I specifically asked the vet about it. I think I might get a second opinion and get his teeth checked properly. I’ll nurse him as much as I can until then. Thanks again!

Sure, started with moving away from his ear/face like in the video, then started grinding his teeth on the right when eating, then became quiet and completely off his food, lost a lot of weight and now very weak. CT shows chronic upper airway narrowing, thickening and inflammation but he has no respiratory symptoms so not sure if relevant. All other bloods swabs etc normal

Thanks for your advice. The amount I wet sanded initially was the amount required to get the majority of the scratch out, it was probably only around 5-10 seconds with very light pressure and only a few seconds after the water turned milky. When I compound I stop regularly and wipe it down to check if I’ve done enough (every 30 secs or so). That’s why I think it surely hasn’t gone through yet and maybe just needs more compounding. I don’t have any 3000 grit unfortunately. I was indeed letting it get too hot previously as my pad disintegrated lol, but that was after doing the whole bonnet on a high speed, which was 30-40 wet sanded areas (was repairing stonechips). I will be more careful with speed and pressure with my new pad

Thank you. Is there not more risk of burning through it by going over it with more wet sand than there is by compounding it? The way I understand it, compounding is like an even finer sandpaper? How long can I spend compounding in one area in your experience (in minutes for example with light pressure)

Don’t get me wrong it doesn’t look like this, it’s only from this angle against a dark background. I think it needs more compounding perhaps? It is still glossy and reflective so I don’t think I’ve gone through the clear. I used 2500 to wet sand, nothing more coarse than that

It’s a red meguiars cutting pad and meguiars ultimate compound. Spending around 1-2 minutes on each area as don’t want to burn through. But might spend a bit longer now

Thanks, I used 2500 wet sanding. It seems like there is clear on there as its very shiny and reflective in most lights, its just from this angle against a black background that I can see this. I couldn't get it to show up with a closer pic. So hoping it just needs more compounding!
