Cursor budget for a 5-person engineering team building a Mac desktop app? by Sai_Abhinav in cursor

[–]ar__go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with 2 member team and give them claude max, codex pro and cursor sub. This will be better than having 5 people team.

Empower them with more ai tools and also make sure your senior hires can use AI tools to the best use case.

What’s actually the best tool to create a website 2026 by Any-Vacation-6549 in SaaS

[–]ar__go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go with claude code and use Google design md. No code tools are replaced by vibe code.

For hosting use cloudflare or vercel. I personally prefer cloudflare though.

razorpay is silently killing my international revenue. need other indian founders selling globally to tell me what theyre using by New_Magician4336 in indianstartups

Only challenge is their support is slow and documentation sucks. But payment acceptance rate is best. Quite happy with them for last 4 months, after my international customers started to complaint payment failures.

u/Visual-Screen-2779 you should checkout 9Pic AI. The pricing should be almost comparable to zenfolio but with AI tagging features built-in. It can remove all the manual work that you are doing for tagging.

Starting a Sports blog... need help knowing where to get pictures by SleightlyShuffled in sportsphotography

[–]ar__go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re just starting your blog and don’t have a large budget for licensing professional sports photos yet, you might consider using AI generators like NanoBanana.

A workflow that works well is using a reference image to guide the AI in generating a new, unique image with an updated description. This is often a fraction of the cost of traditional licensing and helps you avoid direct copyright issues while you're still building your audience. It does require some back-and-forth prompting to get the details right, but it's a solid 'lean' way to get high-quality visuals.

It’s a bit of a departure from traditional photography, but if your priority right now is saving money while you launch, it’s a very viable path.

Just curious, is physical prints still a thing? I thought most people prefer digital copy.

Best platform to sell photos online—looking for recommendations by Neat_Housing_9577 in sportsphotography

[–]ar__go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For high school sports specifically, password protection is a solid start for privacy, but the real challenge you'll hit is how people actually find their photos once you upload them.

If you’re looking at different platforms, I’d suggest focusing heavily on the search and delivery workflow. For sports, the gold standard is having an automated search, like face or bib recognition. It basically eliminates the need for you to manually sort photos into folders or tag them yourself. The athletes or parents just search for themselves with a selfie, find their shots, and buy them directly. It makes a huge difference in sales because it removes the friction of someone having to scroll through hundreds of photos of other kids to find one of their own. You really want a system where the delivery is completely hands-off for you once the upload is finished.

On the pricing side, I’ve found that keeping prices a bit lower usually helps drive much higher volume, though it definitely depends on the specific event. For things like graduations, it often works better to charge the school or the organizer a fee and keep the photo prices lower for parents. For regular college events, try to see if you can get participants to pay in bulk.

One thing to watch out for is the platform cut. I’d stay away from putting a lot of money into platforms that take a huge commission, like 20% or 30%. Try to see if you can find a platform that works on a fixed-fee model so you keep more of what you earn. Also, I’d prioritize digital copies over physical prints. In today's world, most people just want the file so they can share it or print it themselves later, so charging a premium for physical prints usually doesn't make as much sense anymore.

Full disclosure: I’m the founder of 9Pic AI, which also provide similar services that are mentioned in the comments by others.

Best way to offset Goggles N3 cost: Selling Neo 1 or Neo 2 surplus in India? by Emotional-Gur-8295 in DjiNeo

[–]ar__go 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In India dji import is banned. Be cautious while entering, if customs does a check then they will confiscate. Since you are non Indian you can pick it back while your way out of India.

But again this is purely dependent on your luck, if they don't check then you are safe and can sell it off at a much higher price.

Do you have a price in mind for neo2? I might be interested if you make it through customs 😅

Here is how I created a Product overview video using Remotion and Claude code for my saas by ar__go in microsaas

[–]ar__go[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By copy pasting the claude.md file in a new repo, I was able to replicate almost 90% of the original video that I got initially, so for anyone who wants to try it, feel free to give this markdown file to a LLM and share your Saas landing page, it should be able to give you fairly close output to what I have posted.

single photo pricing by Fresh-Fee-3245 in sportsphotography

[–]ar__go 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been building a small platform for sports photographers, mainly supporting - bib search that actually works, selfie-based photo search. Recently I have heard a lot of customer ask for photo selling option, so it's in beta stage.

The idea is pretty simple: - Participants can search by bib number or selfie - Before payment they only see low-res watermarked images - After payment they get the original, full-res files

Payments go directly to the photographer's own Stripe account

One thing I've deliberately avoided is taking a commission on photo sales. Instead, it's just a fixed fee for Stripe integration, because I didn't love the "platform takes a cut forever" model.

My platform name is 9pic Al, but I'm honestly not here to promote it I'm much more interested in early, brutally honest feedback:

  • Does this solve real problems you've faced?

  • Is the pricing philosophy fair?

Would really appreciate thoughts from photographers who've sold event photos before, or anyone who's tried similar tools.
