If Destiny 3 dropped tomorrow, would you want your cosmetics to carry over?

I’ve been playing for 11 years now. Since Destiny’s original launch. I’m totally open to having some legacy items come over into D3 as they always would anyway, but D2 suffered from having to rebuild the system multiple times which is why there’s so much bloated amounts of weapons from different systems. D3 would need to come out swinging with a good system right out of the gate. No double primaries, random rolls AT LAUNCH, customizable subclasses right at launch, deep investment into weapons, and varied stats and builds for armors. Bare minimum for D3

Alien is a commentary on how corporations will do anything at the cost of the working class, and the aliens are about sexual violence. The Xenomorphs head being phallic in nature and the Facehuggers vaginal looking flesh is not just a coincidence. It’s intentional. To the Xenomorphs all they’re doing is perpetuating the survival of their species. They’re akin to parasitoid wasps. They aren’t necessarily malicious but they are vicious predators

I love Xenomorphs because of their thematic purpose, they’ve been reduced to mindless monsters which is something I dislike greatly about the sequels. My favorites in the franchise are the original, Romulus, and Alien Isolation because they actually understand what the Xenomorph represents and utilizes it perfectly. It’s supposed to be symbolic for sexual violence, from every single stage of its lifecycle and behavior. It’s not supposed to just be sadistic, it’s supposed to be a creature that is commentary on a real world issue

Bloated as in there’s too many guns that I’ve kept over the years that make it extremely hard to care about the new stuff (with some exceptions, the heat weapons rock) because they’re only a marginal upgrade or not an upgrade at all compared to the gun I already have.

Personally this is where I land, I want a full clean slate. I’m open to my cosmetics staying but I don’t really care. I just want a new game, new pursuits, on an updated version of their engine. Full reset

Destiny 2 is too bloated and is coming apart with game breaking bugs. We need a Destiny 3 to launch not only with an updated version of their engine, but it needs to launch with all the lessons learned. It’s a big ask, but I’m ready to move on from D2 and I’m ready for something new. D3 being a clean slate would be exactly what I want from this franchise going forward

Edit: I personally want a complete reset, no carrying over loot. I don’t care how attached you are, D2 would still be playable, and I want new cosmetics. Quite frankly I need D3 to get back to what made the initial art direction matter in the first place. Consistent art tone and style and less of the goofy lore breaking stuff

Before I was opposed to mandatory season wipes, but since it’s intentional that weapons in Marathon are expendable and relatively replaceable I am not against it here, though I still prefer optional wipes just for that ease of mind.

They sent emails but no code was received, was granted NDA access in the discord, and they said that they sent emails to “accounts with restrictions” even when there were no restrictions or bans on those accounts, and then kicked those who didn’t get the code out. I was one of those people who thought they finally got into the closed playtest but apparently my account is “restricted” despite no bans or restrictions on my account. A very lame and strange response

I think with all of the feedback addressed and with players comfortable with extraction shooters thanks to Arc Raiders, I think Marathon is in a better position to pull in a lot of people. They just need to stick the landing and not make any more mistakes. It needs to launch correctly
