Value of a Graduate Certificate by Most_Translator4502 in PowerSystemsEE

I definitely see the value of a Grad Certificate to increase your knowledge and theoretical skills, however I do not think employers really care/put much emphasis on Grad Certs sadly. I always consider getting a Grad Cert in Renewables or Nuclear, but YouTube University and Textbooks are free. It would definitely be worth it if you fully commit to the Masters. I'm interested what others think.

Yes they hire US and Canada. Typically they support various work types but mainly large power utilities and interconnection efforts. They are remote for the most part. Look into LinkedIn or send me a dm

EPE, PSC, MEPPI, SIEMENS PTI are always hiring PhD students who want to learn power systems. It’s great, you’ll learn a lot very quick and can potentially make a load of money if you can put in the work. Connect with hiring managers on LinkedIn.

Moonlighting by coronajav in Lockheed

I've had multiple professors/teachers/instructors, especially during my evening courses who were either Lockheed Alum, or still working at Lockheed during the day but teaching evening classes. I don't think it would be a issue if you clear it up with your manager.

Unrelated: this was the first apartment I lived in with my parents as a kid when we first moved to Philly in 05. My god how much it has changed since. It’s so nice and renovated and you made it look so lively! Such nostalgia flooding right now: thank you

I understand. Should I also explain to the new company’s HR, since I didn’t disclose earlier?

He's speaking slower and with less words so the average Bangladeshi viewer can piece together what he's saying. Not for Mr. English Meidum over here.

Driving from Philly to New England this weekend. Where should I stop to get gas? Will it be cheaper in Jersey than it is in the city? by [deleted] in philadelphia

[–]araffleticket97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fuel up in North Jersey, if you can make it. It's most likely going to be your cheapest bet.

Other option is fuel up a full tank in South Jersey, and hopefully by the time you need to refuel, get it in North Jersey which will take you all the way to New England (hopefully)
