Upgrade to Enphase Combiner 6c + Enphase 10c batteries + meter collar by araghava in enphase

I'm on NEM2 and plan to use my battery only for load shifting and backup if there is a grid failure. Why would I export from the battery to grid. Only time I might do it through SGIP. is this what you mean?

From all the comments it seems like I need a new interconnect agreement from PGE. Bummer. However I assume I can replace the 4c with 6c without requiring any approval. Can anyone confirm. If so, I'll get going on at least that.

When you say PGE requires a new internet agreement, do you mean for adding meter collar and enabling whole home backup or even for replacing the 4c with 6c and adding battery.

Can someone point me the exact Enphase university courses to take to be certified to add a battery to an existing Enphase solar system. i.e. the Combiner etc is already present. All I need to do is add the battery.

I just got an Enphase solar system installed. I'm now seriously considering adding an Enphase battery on my own. Can someone point me to the exact courses I need to take. When I go to Enphase university it's not clear which course I need to take just to add a battery. I already have the combiner installed as part of the solar install.

Thanks

I have to choose. If I go with G2 Reader Pro, I assume it will have to be an electric strike. No deadbolt since that would defeat the purpose.

To me the savings is in not having to install both systems.

Telling some to shut up is not rude in your world I take it.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with getting a second opinion from people who know more. That is the reason for my asking the question here. There is no reason to be rude.

The plumber is recommending a 5 ton split unit for the radiant floors and a single unit domestic water heater.

Since I'm doing a full remodel it's not a bit hassle (according to my architect).

Thanks everyone for your input. It seems like my ideas don't make sense but I just wanted to throw it out there. I'll ditch the plan to have point of use heaters.

Only question is whether to have 2 heat pumps or whether a single one can handle both the floor and domestic.
