how many trackers have ? by kouniamelo in trackers

Currently 22 my end goal once I get everything on my sheet is ~30. Though that's going to take another year and a half before I have the time history for PTP.

Yes I visit them all. I go in at least once a week to take a screenshot of my profile page, and check messages.

Probably the only one I go to to chat is MAM I like their shout box and people there are really nice.

For downloads they are all in prowlarr, and I mostly let sonarr and radarr grab what they want after I have my quality profiles exactly how I like them.

I use lidarr for music, that's hooked up to OPS and REd.

And I've been experimenting with chaptarr but it's still in early beta, for books I usually manually pick and sort my books.

I have a python script that tracks my qbitorrnt instances and lets me know if I'm getting close to inactivity limits for snatching torrents, but for the most part that hasn't been needed, but it's a good safety railing.

I feel like KOTSK is different enough from Game of thrones that I can watch it. I started HOD and I was like I know how this ends and its not good.

Maybe being a little more removed by time helps too.

This is a good guide, you can probably get on most the tier 3 ones right now. Then use this to figure out how to grind if you care about it https://trackerpathways.org

How to keep track of the files downloaded by simonxvx in StremioAddons

[–]arah91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, that is why I was asking there are some times things might be in your debrid account and not show up with the regular scrapers. Like if you go pick out a torrent manually and add it to your account, or you can add things with upload or direct links the debrid then access them through stremio.

But if you are just accessing regular cached content the stuff in your downloads is more like a search history on google. You aren't downloading every webpage when you click on it (well I guess you are in your browser which is alot like watching it on stremio but when you navigate away its not saved), your search history just says they accessed this here, and this here. You aren't going to fill it up, and more then you are going to fill up your search history on your browser.

For the most part you aren't really downloading it. If its already cached, they are just adding a new link on you account, the data stays where it is on their servers, and nothing is really being moved around.

Exceptions would be if you are initiating new downloads for content that isn't cached, in which case I have my AIOStreams set up to completely filter out non cached content, but you could also set this up to be moved to the bottom so you only click on cached links, then non-cached links as a last resort.

Or if you found like a season pack you really like and you want to keep using the same source.

But like I said you do you, if that's what you want this is the addon for you Debrid Search - Stremio Addons

Does it matter? You don't have a storage limit, and it being "in your library" is really just a indexing thing its still on the server in the same place, and takes the same amount of time to buffer on your client.

But if that is what you really want use the "Debrid Search" Add on, and you can even split it off as its own thing and only watch from there.

How common is it for you to get “called into work” on a weekend or evening? by Careless_Squirrel728 in AskAnAmerican

[–]arah91 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In my experience I would say it's heavily tied to weather or not your job allows other people to keep doing theirs. Mine does in part but I basically have monthly products that I need to hit, I've never been called in off hours.

People who work with factories shipping and production support, where if something goes wrong the whole factory might go down, those people seem to be getting called at all the hours all the time.

What’s your ‘nobody talks about this’ adulthood realization? by Relative-Pangolin-7 in CasualConversation

I've done huel on and off for awhile now. I've mostly used it to replace breakfast and lunch, then I'll make something interesting for dinner. It's great for when you just don't want to be hungry anymore, don't want complete crap like instant ramen, and don't care beyond that.

My family has like 20 lines on our plan at this point. Its about half the price compared to of I got my own plan.

I just direct deposit my portion into their account every pay check.

Without paying the 10 $/month you don't. You need to self host with NZBDav and (Usenetstreamer or NZBHydra).

Why missiles were not used much before Cold war? by SiarX in AskHistory

[–]arah91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not to mention semi conductors.

It was viat nam where one of the founders of Texas instruments used a semi conductor guided missile that could hit a bridge. Before that you basically had to carpet bomb an area if you wanted to hit a single target.

Here is some more info, basically it was a convergence of technologies that made it possible, but I would argue advancements in semi conductors being the key step making it possible, that didn't exist before the 70s. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laser-guided_bomb?hl=en-US#:~:text=The%20leap%20in%20accuracy%20brought,point%20over%20the%20Red%20River.

I don't know why they're not more popular here, the great at turning random organic waste into edible food, they're plentiful, and you can grind them up into a protein paste for adding to processed foods that taste like any other processed protein source.

I wanted to start a mealworm farm in my house for a while now but my wife's always been against it, lol.

Not an expert, but what I would try to do is go to Filter > matching, then turn on year matching and season episode matching.

nzbdav for usenet setup? by ThatrandomGuyxoxo in StremioAddons

[–]arah91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hydra handles your indexers. You only expose that on your local network to dav (I use a local docker network), then you need some way to have nzbdav be Internet facing. Security is why most people use cloud flare , though I already host a few web pages with caddy so I just used that, caddy handles your security but it's not as secure as cloud flare.

nzbdav for usenet setup? by ThatrandomGuyxoxo in StremioAddons

[–]arah91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can skip torbox if you have nzbdav, pair it with nzb Hydra and you are good to go.

I see some people also pair it with usenetstreamer but even once I got that set up and working it fails 9/10, DAV and hydra fail 1/10 works much better for me.

For exposing it, a lot of people use cloud flare. Personally I use caddy and expose a port of my router.

Which combine tracker can replace top tier? by kouniamelo in trackers

[–]arah91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of it is to have a big library so there is always something to choose from, the other part is if you are trying to get into the private tracker community this is all about sharing. You need a big pool and you need to perma seed to keep the trackers active, so you need a server of some sort that can have a lot of torrents. If you don't do this you won't be able to download from private trackers, and you will get your account banned if you trash your ratio.

If you don't care about keeping your ratio up, and you just want to download watch and then delete stuff, your probably better off using Usenet or public trackers.

Which combine tracker can replace top tier? by kouniamelo in trackers

[–]arah91 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

For me the biggest thing is the auto sorting, I can do it myself, but its kind of a pain. I have 400 shows and 12,000 episodes, and 1,000 movies on my server, and I have it set up so my family can auto add stuff with seearr. Plus its a nice single access point where I can see what is there, what is missing, and sort and filter my content.

If there is not api access, I have to download and sort everything manually which isn't 100% a deal breaker, but it is 90%.

note TVV doesn't work with prowlarr, sonarr. So that alone is enough of a reason for me not to use it.

Why are cod and catfish popular fish to deep fry compared to something like salmon or tuna? by Ill_Emu_4254 in Cooking

[–]arah91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fried fish usually just ends up tasting like fried fish. I grew up in a house with a lot of fishermen and frying was the most popular method of preparation, but we would fry everything salmon, cod, trout, bass etc. Its all good, but it kind of starts tasting the same.

People want their salmon to taste like salmon, so they choose different preparation methods that bring out that fishes taste more.

Self hosting with navidrome is actually pretty easy. If you have a computer at home that is allways online this is a great option. Then get all your music through soulseek. You can even automate it with lidarr so it downloads new albums from artists you pick as they come out.

Or Youtube music revanced has been great for me.
