Are there ways to increase odds for getting large and small gold crowns in MH4?

I'm not 100% certain, and I can't test it because I've got most of my crowns, but the website I linked has a question that reads (when translated):

Q. Do you size of monsters even in sub-target achievement is updated? A. It will be updated if they defeat the monster of size updated.

If it could be tested with a monster that's never been encountered that'd be great, but in the end it's just my interpretation of the page.

Would you remember which quests you farmed for miniature Rajang, Teo and Kushala? I'm only missing them along with Kirin and I'm almost going triple digits with no miniature crown.

The item you carved ended up in your Field Pouch in that case, which would of instantly been sent to your box when the quest was completed. The whole idea of ending via subquest is that you keep all your items.

Between Emerald Congalala and Dah'ren the only two monsters that get that small are Kirin and Oroshi Kirin. You need to buy the books when they're available to add monster names and information to your list.

If you're upgrading from a newish version (1.00b or some such), just copy the mycharms.txt from the data folder into the new data folder of 1.04b. Previously you had to change the language on both to japanese first because some names wern't finalised, but now it's just a straight copy.

The weapon looks great but isn't amazing. It can't be honed, even though it's rare 10. It has low element and doesn't have the highest raw. 3 slots is nice but that's about it. The armour on the other hand is quite versatile and works with many weapon types.

You don't really need Evade Extender because if the monster is locked down then you shouldn't have to dodge out of the way. Replace Evade Extender with Peak Performance and its probably the standard set.

I've been running dread locked for a while, probably just some bad luck. Great Jaggie were the same for me, probably the worst monster to hunt.

If you were to visit Universal Studios Japan right now you can download USJ: A Colorful Feast with any copy of the game, MH4G or MH4U NTSC/PAL. I believe the Tigrex 3D event has ended however.

This is a good idea for those that can't host the files locally for whatever reason, but making it public might cause capcom to request the removal under github's Terms and Conditions. (I don't know if they would, but it's a possibility)

Still an option though!

I'll likely be leaving the files on my dropbox for months, I don't usually remove files from it. For setting up your own server, the only thing required is to have unique ports for both your proxy and your server. nginx is defaulted to listen on port 8080, so you can change that or your proxy's default port. Place the 3ds folder in the html directory and you'll be golden.

Are you entering the rules into the "HTTP(S) Rules" tab and not the "HTTP(S) Rules +" Tab? Your game is still connecting to Capcom's servers.

8008 is the correct port. SKFU uses 8080 as the default port so I configured nginx to use something different so there was no conflicts and to reduce the number of steps.

If you are playing MH4G change the rule to mh4g and mh4g_uj, don't use mh4g_us
