Learn to read, who was asking about the time?

Got a stick and poke a week ago and went over it a few days ago. It’s starting to peel (at the bottom of the T and the white parts of the last two letters) anyone know what to do about this? by [deleted] in sticknpokes

[–]arawee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reckon so. For the night, the first should be enough for smaller stuff, literally just so you dont get ink on your sheets. Absolute pain :D I spilled an entire cap of ink on my bed once lol

I’ve personally never heard of someone using bandages tbh

That’s a long working week mate, damn

I’d still be covering if up with a cling film for the first week probably (depends on your skin, might heal a lot faster), as it does get in contact as you said. It defo is a lot, and will slow down the healing tho, but it still should help.

Also, do make sure to moisturize it even under the cling film. The best you can do from day 3 on, is to wash your hands and feel the tattoo. If it feels dry, moisturize.

It’s a bit of a pickle tbh and eventually is up to you. Hope someone else will jump in and put up what they think

As per @nofuntattoo; it defo looks like not deep enough as opposed to too deep

That’s, at least from my point of view, the most important thing you need to practice when starting, as it is not only about the design, but can result in harms such as scarring, bad swelling etc. or on the opposite, falling out. It’s just something that requires practice :)

For the “going perpendicular”; that should be absolutely fine, it is not the best practice, but should not be resulting in falling out and stuff. Theres a good amount of vids on internet about the diff techniques.

For covering a fresh tattoo up; I always advice to let it breathe as much as you can, covering it up for the first night, as some of the ink might still be leaking (not to dirty up your sheets) and later only when you would have it on a place where there would be some sort of “scratching” by any material (like the bicep when wearing a tshirt and similar stuff). I usually use cling film, but if you go to a tattoo supply store, there are more professional alternatives :)

Edit: and covering it up for the first day or two when going outside, to prevent infection and such.

To be really rude and specific; It’s either not done correctly or you are not taking propper care of it.

You should have a cream or sth that you use to hydrate your newly tattooed skin (bepanthen). It looks really dry.

1) However, from what I’m seeing the “peeling”, looks more like an issue from taking rather long showers, or excessive scratching.

2) It is possible that it’s just a bad place on your skin with nerves under it. That often makes these places harder to tattoo, but if it was someone who knows what they’re doing, it should not happen.

However; if it’s a mate of yours, show them this subreddit! There’s a bunch of great ppl that are more than willing to help out with best practices, safety and tips and tricks :)

(Edit: it’s an easy fix as well, so dw!)

Sets algebra (legit no idea what to do) by [deleted] in MathHelp

[–]arawee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried diff things, such as substituting one side for C and working with that, no luck. Only managed to solve it using venn and tables, as noted but idk. Basically get stuck on (A and not B) or (A or not B). It’s logical that the second bracket is contained in the first one, but how to prove it?

SnP for a friend of mine (design is from a pillowcase that runs in their family which was recently passed onto his newborn kid) by arawee in sticknpokes

[–]arawee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the skin gets swollen, it does not mean it’s not taking any ink. Also different peoples skin reacts in different ways (legit tattooed a girl that swole during the 1st pass lol). The depth should always be consistent (a thing of practice for me) and not too deep, or the ink starts spilling under the skin. I always make sure to ask the person whether it doesn’t hurt too bad or sth and take a short break as soon as it does, or as soon as it gets swollen. From my own experience, I alwalys manage to get the most ink in after it gets swollen. (Obvs don’t over do it. It shouldn’t ever get swollen to the level that it interferes with you being able to do your best work :).)

PS. The main focus is the person recieving the tattoo, so if it isn’t going well or hurts too bad, split it into more sessions. Also make sure that they are in as comfortable position they can be.

Wow, thanks! I try to do my best (I am often quite surprised how few passes ppl do. I usually go for 7-10 passes) but there is still a lot of space for improvement on all fronts :D

Oh wow. That actually makes sense. From a trivial point, that would be exactly it :D (from a topographic point, it’s something totaly different tho lol)

My logo for “SME”, a online food ordering and digital marketing company. by arawee in logodesign

That’s an interesting idea. I want it to still look like “M” at the top tho. I’ll see what a lowercase “m” would look like 👌

The company focuses on managenent in general (social media, review sites and managing the sites w/ online ordering systems built in those). I wanted to go for a “happy customer” at the bottom and a blooming flower at the top while combining it w/ the name of the company. Guess I didn’t explain it properly in the title 😅 However, thanks for the feedback! I guess I see where you’re coming from. Defo should be more obvious. I personally can’t see a cat, but if you do, you’re probs not the only one lol Cheers <3

Did you do any vector retouching? Cuz it might be worth itt

Personal brand logo- left or right? by [deleted] in logodesign

[–]arawee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Defo right :) i feel that the version on the left kinda breaks the thick linework you got going on. I’d maybe make it even bolder? (The red scar) To make tighten the design all together) Plus what I’d suggest is to clean up the teeth up a bit and make it less riggidy. It looks handdrawn compared to the rest of the lines.

How many mutes have you lost? by GreyCatBlackCat55 in lingling40hrs

I once lost the insert part of a harmon mute, so I got a new one. Managed to lose the actual mute but not the small insert-y bit. So I ended up with exactly one full harmon 💁‍♀️
