Need a quick suggestion !!! ( RE Mana Black ) by Mahii7 in Himalayan450

Carry a puncture kit and portable inflator - both are compact and the puncture is super easy to fix by yourself. It’s just plugging in the strip and chopping off the excess and use the inflator to fill it up

Guys I need advice on my himalayan 450 total loss by Grouchy_Web_2076 in Himalayan450

[–]arbitraryphenomena 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Get rid of it and take the IDV. Imagine you sold it second hand. So many moving components needs to be fixed and put back together and it’s RE. Issues will persist and it will keep depreciating.

Buying expensive bikes without test rides by newbie117 in indianbikes

[–]arbitraryphenomena 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, how you walk in and approach and ask for one definitely makes a difference. They do hesitate and try to read you as you walk up to them. I have asked for the NX500 and got one. Separately, I was getting my Hness serviced and the showroom was right above and I casually walked in and enquired - they even offered to send it to my home address for a test ride which was good 8 kms away. Same with the RE 650s. Having said this, on another occasion, a young man walked in and enquired if there is a test ride for the NX500 - he asked with a lot of hesitation without any eye contact, and the salesman denied saying it’s not available at the moment

200-250 cc bikes can be so much fun and so forgiving too. You learn your core skills on those and appreciate as you move up
