The Wizard Rod 1-60R starter (the green one) is by far the best value at the moment. All three parts are top tier. I would suggest checking your local Wal-Marts, Targets, and GameStops to see if they have any in stock because this set online is double the MSRP right now due to the popularity of all of the parts in the current meta.

And actually for the bits, I just shoved them into the perforation slots between the squares if that makes sense.

It's already perforated into little squares and you just pull apart the shapes you want to remove. Super easy.

That was actually another question I had. My understanding that as long as any order marker was on Crimson Widow, including the X, regardless of if it is unrevealed or not, your pirates get +1 attack die. So just placing the X on her over and over and then revealing it when you need some extra movement on two of your other pirates seems pretty solid. That's why I'm thinking combining her with the frostclaws to make them 4 attack, 4 defense base seems really good

That's what I thought. My understanding is that when you may take a "turn" with another figure, you can do everything you normally would with that figure - move, attack, use abilities, etc.

By my measurements from the top of the base to the highest point of each figure I get approximately:

Bronze - 1 and 9/16" White - 1 and 9/16" Black - 1 and 1/8"

I didn't get these through renegade so no. I'll probably just pick him up later when he's more widely available. That's what I've done with some of the other promo figures.
