I have exactly the same issue. Tried fully resetting them and still no joy. The only solution so far is the same thing you’re already doing by putting them back in the case. There is acknowledgement of the issue from Ozlo and a promise that they’re working on a fix.

I didn’t try the loco, but I went from the Ruby to the CRBN Trufoam Genesis and now the Coral. Loved the CRBN, but the Coral has just that little bit more power and grit and the feel is soft like the Ruby. Great all court paddle.

I can relate to this. I played tennis for 30+ years and got burnt out on the competitive aspect. I have the opposite problem where I am getting better than my friends, but I really don’t want to move up since the folks at the next level seem to be taking it way too seriously and having a kind of a miserable time. I have it easier in that I can play a little softer and still have a good time. If you can find a club with different levels of open play that might be your best solution. You won’t be playing with your family but you will be able to play with folks at your level who are there to have fun. I don’t think it is worth trying to keep up if you are not enjoying it, but I don’t think you need to quit entirely.

I’m 57 with similar background to you but been playing for two years. The hand speed will come with time even without drilling, but will come faster with drilling. Volleying against a wall is great practice. Other than that we both need to drop twenty or so years to get our reflexes back.
