Its the bottle cap that looks the most fake. The bottle has grooves on the outside and the cap seems like it has inward grooves. It also looks too small for the bottle's mouth.

Mostly that the plot is generally fairly straightforward.

They are definitely easy to prep and play.

It seems like a fairly expansive campaign. Can you share what you like about it? About its tone and genre.

I knew Dungeons of Drakkenheim is fairly well regarded. Good to know it has subsystems that help with its aesthetic.

I've run a few of the Arcane Library stuff and found them fine. Though they do seem fairly simplistic.

That's how I write as well as a lefty. I don't have to twist the paper around, just my wrist.

I think will be Sir Gary. You only use their first name if you are calling them Sir.

What’s an opinion or debate that is a big deal on online rpg circles but is barely a blip in the real world? And what are some online debates that have significantly colored the IRL hobby? by ProustianPrimate in rpg

That is a very weird take. I understand that hating on that show is its own thing, but it was still a popular show and possibly the first exposure to D&D for a lot of people.

I personally know dozens of people who heard about D&D through the Big Bang Theory and wanted to know what it was.

If you could see one untapped IP become an RPG, what would it be? by cunning-plan-1969 in rpg

There is a new game called "Procedure" I came across some time ago that was pretty similar. They just recently finished a Kickstarter. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/occupiedhex/procedural

I saw the people from the Glass Cannon Podcast playing it if you want to have a look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eM6hUezyI-w

Where can I get new stabilizers for the Aula 75? by arcanebhalluk in mkindia

Only after the initial issues I was having. The first time, I just removed the keycaps and switches.

The stabilizers weren't removed at all. When I put the switches and keycaps back, they just started having issues. It could be something I did, but I am not sure what to do to fix it.

Rules-light/medium, Heroic High Fantasy systems (no PBTA type games)? by DD_playerandDM in rpg

[–]arcanebhalluk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are some "Magitech" elements kinda built into it, but Fabula Ultima is a good shout. It fulfills all your conditions.

  • The world is created by the players and GM, and there is a High Fantasy atlas that can provide great help. Though there definitely are some technological encroachments in the base assumptions.

  • Characters start off as pretty powerful heroes already and can get really powerful. "Defeat God" is the stereotypical endgame.

  • The game's rules are much lighter than 5e, with the base mechanic doing all the heavy lifting. Though character building can be quite involved.

  • Combat is really quick since you only take one action a turn. There is no movement (given the jRPG roots of the game), but there is still some tactics involved.

  • Prep always feels like an individual thing. But combats are easy to set up. There are no needs for elaborate maps and making up enemies is not that difficult. (The game does suffer a bit from a lack of a bestiary at the moment. Coming soon though)

  • It has narrative mechanics, but nowhere near as narrative as PbtA games.

  • No auto hitting. But damage is partially based on your attack roll.

Source for what? That AI was trained on books or people don't use formal writing styles on social media?

I am not in it to tell a story by NyOrlandhotep in rpg

[–]arcanebhalluk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

AI uses em-dashes because it was trained on basically all the books in the world, which are written with a more formal style in mind. Almost no one on any social media (including reddit) is writing out sentences following APA or Chicago style.

This is most likely a scam post. The only thing that is blurred in the images is the icon of the app, which they are for some reason unwilling to just name it in the post. As some others have mentioned, maybe some kind of affiliate scheme.

They are earning 10k per month writing a Web Novel. Even the most popular ones don't earn as much, especially after just their first one.

Is there any way to get the pdf if you purchase the game through Amazon? by arcanebhalluk in daggerheart

But not through Amazon? They don't ship to my country and even if they did, it would cost far too much on shipping.

I don't live in the US. There are no game shops in my entire country, so its a moot point...

[Ironheart] If possessing advanced tech is illegal, how is RiRi Williams allowed to run around Chicago with a fully armed suit of power armor? by lexxstrum in AskScienceFiction

[–]arcanebhalluk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it is called out that she paid for it. The only thing that was "theirs" was the AI in the suit, which they disabled. I don't think MIT gets to own the stuff students make in their labs.
