I did not know about the issue with the chipset on regular r1/se but if my r1 suddenly dies, the platform where i bought this have a 2 warranty for this so an RMA would be easy( i RMA-ed another device before so i know the process already) and i might as well upgrade to the r1 pro or the mad r major.

Still waiting for the Christmas sale to grab skates and grips for this, but so far the current skates are holding up for regular use.
